If I can't get a hold of one for a decent price in the UK, I might do a batch order of 5 units (the minimum) from China and see what the quality is like. Can always sell them on cheap to other folk who want them later.

Those Chinese DMG shells really weird me out. The colors look identical to the ASM ones, but they're clearly not the same mold. I wonder if they've actually sourced ours to color-match, or if it's just a coincidence.
I wouldn't be surprised.
I got an orange 'see-through' one a while ago that had the Nintendo logo on from China (unlike some of them). It felt nice in the hands, but I swear that the plastic was thicker in certain places, which meant my usual prosound sockets didn't fit through properly. Ended up putting RCA jacks in instead because I fucked up the holes. Ahem.

Ive seen people complain about 2.7 in other projects and they were told to try reinstalling python.
Yeah. There was something off with the wxPython install on El Capitan. I reinstalled via Python and updated the dependancy location (thanks to Alextras), and got it installed. Running into another issue when running the actual app itself, but it's (hopefully) unrelated.

Not sure what you're trying to show by linking to that search result. The same shows up for 'transparent':
https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=trans p;tbm=isch
That's what I've seen them described as, so that's what I said. I don't really care that much which is technically correct.

Isn't this technically "translucent"?
Probably. That's not what they're usually listed as though.

Awesome, thanks. I'll take it over there!
@herr_prof - yup. Python 2.7 is installed; the folders that it's looking for in /usr/lib etc don't appear to be there though.

Running into a bit of trouble getting this working on OSX El Capitan. Firstly, a couple of the dependencies seemed to be out of date, so I installed them manually. Now when I go to build I'm getting hit with a different error. Probably something stupid I'm missing.
Raised the issue on Github here - https://github.com/alexras/lsmc/issues/14 - but not sure how active the project is at the minute, so if anybody has insight that would be grand.

I could send you one from my personal stash, but shipping will be pretty pricey.
I'll drop you a PM

we have clear shells in this style, atm
http://store.kitsch-bent.com/product/custom-dmg-case
they were just restocked in the past week, you'll find them in the drop down menu
Thanks, I'm looking for coloured transparent shells though, not totally clear
I could potentially dye them myself, but would rather not have to.

I've found this place, but 25GBP for a shell + buttons is pricey:

Topic: Source for transparent DMG shells? (17 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
I'm looking for somewhere to get different coloured transparent DMG shells - much like this 'ice blue' one:
There are transparent orange ones on eBay, but I'm looking for different colours. Gameboymods.co.uk is the only place I've found that does these (or has them in stock), but they haven't been posting out orders for a while - so that's not an option.
I've checked out kitsch-bent, handheldlegends, and nonfinite, but to no avail. Anybody know of any other source?
Thanks!

I bought something else from the eBay shop after getting my other item, to give things another chance. Never received the item, or received a response to the dispute so eBay refunded the money. Won't be going back, which is a shame. If you're having issues that mean you can't post out the stuff you sell you should stop accepting sales until things change.

Hey! As of now, it works utilizing hacked hardsid dll. This allows the use at least the following software: ACID64 (to play back SIDs), VICE emulator (along with few other emulators) and GoatTracker 2 for composing.
Should the VST plugin become available then yes, it would work as you described. For now, it is rather limited.
Also for anyone able, this is open source after all and you can write your own software for it. I do realize this isn't the way to go for most people and I'm still trying to get a functional VST to support it...
Awesome, thanks. I'll wait and see if the VST comes along then Thanks.
