1-No matter where it is posted, a hype thread is a hype thread
2-Agreed it was about some webshow or something. But the thread kept on getting bumped by artists on the bill saying things like "this is gonna be sick mate blabla" and maybe 1 or 2 other people.
3-It got delayed. The webshow or the album, or both - I can't remember because I don't care that much but - it made it look like vaporware.
So nobody should advertise anything because you don't feel like seeing it? And sure the thread was bumped by that...so are actual release threads haha. What's wrong with praise? And Goethe record there was actually a release in the original post, I had put out a single at the time of announcement. And neither were delayed
Although I do sorta agree that not every album in the world needs a thread specifically to hype it. It gets stupid after a point. But I'd hate to see this be my fault, because I did a very legitimate advertisement job for the show and the single release, and getting the album out on time. The problem is with threads that dont actually do anything. At all.
Edit: Well, I'm sorry it bothered you. I guess that conversation could have been carried out over PM or whatever. I saw it as a discussion in a place based around discussion. If it makes you feel better I'm not releasing anything any time in the foreseeable future.

Me too.
And that's two too many IMO.
And yes, some people might still be rolling their eyes at that Frostbyte thing.
Oh yeah, that stupid Frostbyte, advertising a web show in the Upcoming Releases forum...what a devil!

Once the stone tells me what it wants to sound like I use my experience with previous songs to add what i think will make the stone be what it wants to be. Occasionally I have trouble with the song wanting to be something im not smart enough to do, or it sounds like music I dont want to make, but lately ive been forcing myself to at least finish it to the best of my abilities even if it sucks. Ive found that if you have really good taste in music, youll know if your song is good or not.
One of the most true things I have ever read.

CHIPTOONZ IS DEAD
Turn your headphones up really loud and when you're least expecting it, listen to them.
Going back over an unreleased set of 2 EP's that I've had for a while at the moment actually. I feel nothing but disappointment and surprise...I thought most of the songs were better than this. But there's also some that I'm pleasantly surprised with how well they've turned out.
I think I'm going to load up the savs tomorrow and make them all right. Thanks for the inspiration, thread.
EDIT: Also, I should mention that my music is a part of me. It's the way I express things, and it changes with me. It's the way that I speak, even though most of the time I feel musically tongue-tied. I can never get it out the way I want it to. It's like I know the words but can't use them correctly, resulting in music that makes me proud and devastated at the same time. It's never right enough for me. But I know it's good. But it's not right.
There are times when I'm genuinely impressed with myself. But those easily get cut down with feelings of not being good enough or not being up to what I wish my standards are. Then I listen to some other people's stuff and I think, well, I mean I'm doing better than that, then feel awful about myself for criticizing someone else's music. Then I quit chipmusic. Then people message me and tell me how great my stuff is and I'm like, ehh, okay it's not awful. Wash, rinse and repeat.
Cheapshot release is called "Streets of Bass", not beats of rage haha.
Otherwise, this looks really cool! I'd go of it were close to me.
Oh my god want so bad....please let me have SNES games, please...
Lemme see what SNES games I have...

I think that'd be a problem for like, a month because all the kids who decide they'd wanna make it would buy the hardware, realize they actually have to work to make music on it, not be able to figure it out, then sell it right back to those of us who know how to do it.
Or they'd buy FL and use 3xOSC to make cool basic waves.
I'd be okay with that. Maybe I'd be able to make a living off what I love instead of having to go into a field in not as passionate about. That would be nice...it's be my job to write lsdj music!

Lol like 6L6s or EL34s. Tubes were something they used before transistors, and now have found a market in guitar amplifier because of the smooth gain staging they have when overloaded
Word, I have an old music man tube amp, shit's LOUD. I was just wondering how the hell you'd throw them in a DMG hahahaha, guess you meant that they're in the amp, not the gameboy itself. You run your gameboys through tube amps?
Like, tubes to the speaker?
