I love my pocket.  I don't record or gig with it but I take it everywhere else.  I have 2 extras for sale that I've been trying to part with.  I got them in a trade and they were already prosounded.  I don't need them so if interested let me know...

Gameboy Pockets for sale.

I kinda thought since it's Krylon, it wouldn't be too bad (it's definitely not Montana though) but I was wrong.  It's supposed to be safe on plastic and the label shows a light switch painted with it so I thought it would work.  But alas it is crappy.  Tried it on a third piece of plastic and it still came out bad.

I saw glow in the dark DMGs on djtransformers site once I believe but they aren't there anymore.  Apparently there is a Japanese glow-in-the-dark pocket.  That would be sweet to have...

I did test it on a tupperware bowl and then a clear CD case.  I cleaned them and dried them thoroughly then sprayed them and as they dried, thick cracks formed.  Looked terrible from the outside.  I've never seen paint do that before.  I'm just not going to attempt it.  Maybe I'll attempt it on the outside of a normal DMG first but I need to get some white as a base coat first.  I'm willing to risk a greyboy but not a clearboy.

These blue and green cases look pretty nice but I wish I had a chance to jump on those clear ones sooner...  Now they're all gone...  Disappointing...  Hopefully you guys do more clear ones soon!

I feel pretty confident that I am good with a can of paint.  I can't do crazy designs but I am pretty even and I know the rules to applying it.  I've painted other DMG's before as well as other projects and they always come out great.  I think this glow-in-dark paint just sucks.  If my research is correct, then the glow-in-the-dark pigment is added via a powder substance to the paint and that could be causing the thickening problem.  Maybe I'll spend more time shaking the can to break it up more.  The main problem was how it looked when it dried.  It looked like a dry river bed after it dried.  All cracked and stuff.  I might scrap this idea.  Maybe someone else will attempt it and be successful but I don't want to ruin a clear boy.

wow. really surprised no one has scooped this up yet.

Is $46 the going rate for these when stock?  Personally, I think that's kind of steep (no offense to seller).  But if that's the going rate when stock, then I'm going to have to rethink the price of mine after I mod it.

Yea feel free to shop around for one there first because shipping will definitely be cheaper.  I wasn't planning on parting with this anyway so it's not going anywhere unless you want it.

Actually, I'll be in Europe from May until August so if, for some reason, you can't find one by then, I can always bring it and ship it within Europe...  I'll actually be in Bratislava for a few days so I'd practically be able to drop it off.  Haha.

A quick U.K. eBay search brought up numerous Atari 2600's for cheap.  Have ya tried the European eBays?  Or are you not wanting to spend money?

It's not the Atari 2600 JR.  It's the original one with the woodgrain across the front.  Earlier than the JR model.  Still plays all the same stuff though.

And yes, overseas, I am in the U.S. unfortunately for now...

So I have a clear DMG and a can of Krylon Glowz and was wanting to spray the inside of the DMG with it.  I tested the paint on a random piece of plastic and it came out kind of thick and globby and as it dried, it appeared to crack.  I plan to back it with white paint but did not try that yet.  My question is, has anyone done this before?  I saw one person do it but personally, I think it looks terrible in normal light and I want this to look excellent so I can sell it.  Any suggestions?  Probably shouldn't risk it, right?

Do you have a feedback score on here?  I have a 2600 (woodgrain one) that is dusty but works great but no controllers/joysticks.  And maybe 20 games.  But I'm very cautious nowadays with who I trade with.  Especially to Europe.  Honestly, I don't like trading at all but the 2600 is going to waste here.

Bump for additions to the sale list as well as pictures!

I'd like to make a suggestion that isn't shipping based but might help with repeat business...  From 1998-2004 I had an internet based music store back home in South Africa.  I sold mainly CD's, records, and t-shirts of African and Caribbean artists.  After about 2 years of business I started sticking simple things like stickers, buttons, and demo CD's that local artists would drop off into the packages and on occasion a gift certificate.  Business doubled and I started seeing repeat customers quite often.  So I suggest doing little things like that.  In bulk, stickers and buttons are really cheap.  You can even take it to the next level.  The amazing artist Goddamn Electric Bill sends stickers, buttons, posters, and hand written thank you notes in every purchase.  I literally purchase everything he sells just because of that.

Bumpity bump!  Still looking to part with this...

Thanks for the reply Chips.  Yes it only can record 2 tracks at a time but if using for chip, that's all you really need.  And yes you can monitor by plugging in headphones.  Like Chips said, it is a great piece of hardware.

Sorry about the delay to a reply.  Got busy and totally forgot I posted this.

Red Gameboy pocket in excellent condition.  Only very very light scratches on the screen that are only visible in bright light and doesn't effect use.  The prosound mod works perfect but appears to be slightly misplaced because the shell isn't closed completely, as seen in the picture.  Possibly can be fixed but I haven't/won't open it to try.  Will include an A/C adapter.  Maybe $25-30 +shipping?

Green Gameboy pocket in decent condition.  Has more scratches on the screen than the red one but still fine.  They don't affect use.  The prosound mod works perfect but also has a problem with not closing like the red unit.  Can probably be fixed but I haven't/won't try.  Shell has signs of use and is slightly dirty but I will clean it up before shipment.  Will include an A/C adapter.  Maybe $20-25 +plus shipping?

I also have 3 DMG A/C adapters still in the packaging.  I bought six of these as a package a while ago but I only needed 2.  And I can't seem to find one.  So only 3 of these are available.  Maybe $5 +plus shipping?

Not really interested in any trades on any of this stuff.  But I'll consider all offers.
