How much are you wanting to spend on a cart? Kitsch has them for $40. That's a good price.

Looks awesome, I'm a sucker for inverted white backlights, I love it.
Thanks mate! I only use white. The other colors look nice but I don't find them actually useful without causing eye strain... By the way, great job on those black start/select buttons. They look factory and I love em.

nerdsome, from where did you get your *white backlight? mine is too yellow for my taste.
Apeshit. asmretro.com. And they are very nice.

Rare blue, clear buttons painted white underneath, white backlight, clear/white start/select, white power indicator, internal pro sound, white screen protector. No alterations to that lekker shell!!
The internals with mods were a straight transfer from another DMG I had lying around and I put it all together to discover that batteries aren't working in it. They aren't dead. Guess I will be taking it back apart letter to see what happened but not right now.

a mega duck won't play gameboy carts, unfortunately.
Yea, I could tell it wasn't exactly a clone. Just a copy cat device really.

Oh ok, I personally am fine with the blue painters tape but maybe because I use montana...
Blue painters tape wouldn't stick. Not sure why. Actually I had a problem with the paint not sticking to the kitsch shells too. I blame the paint though because I love those shells and don't want to blame them. But I haven't seen anyone else having problems painting them so in the end, I probably did something wrong.

Was going to keep that one for myself but I fucked on the shell of another one so I decided to keep that one and sell this one instead.
Yah I sometimes don't want to sell some of my gameboys too but if I want to make more I have to. How'd you mess up the shell of the other one?
I messed up 2 ways: I used Krylon paint and I used blue paintings tape. The blue painters tape didn't seal up perfectly (normally I use regular masking tape) and the Krylon paint is super water so it easily ran under the tape making a mess. Next time I will stick to masking tape and Montana paint. Or I just won't attempt to paint again. I'm not a painter. Just a builder.

Relisted on eBay with updated prices. Went lower but that's the lowest I'm willing to go with them.

i was secretly hoping you'd stumbled across a clone console
A clone would be able to play the Game Boy games right? Because there's this on eBay which tried to be a clone but isn't quite... Unsuccessful competition.

Teh D3th St4r wrote:Out of the 6 I've purchased 2 of them had the pressure points. Look at the photos of my Fallout Boy, and you'll see what I'm talking about.
I fixed it by removing the rubber strip at the base of the screen that keeps pressure on the ribbon strip.I can only think of a couple things that can cause that. Misaligned polarized film, or the LCD housing not being cut. Shouldn't be an issue, they don't lift the LCD higher than the foam that's removed, and they're also the thinnest gameboy backlights, excluding EL backlights.
I don't think I've had any pressure problems with these yet... But speaking of EL backlights, anybody gonna do those again or are they gone for good? Wouldn't mind putting one in my GB Pocket just to make it look like a GB Light.

i'm guessing there is a blue/green confusion too
I think that's exactly what happened. I said green to avoid confusion but I guess I should have corrected them earlier by stating the color or more light blue than anything.

I think we all have a differing opinion of color. I think they're blue but didn't want to call them blue and confuse the thread.

Alot of Play it loud editions come with white d-pad silicone and ive found a few in random DMG's so im guessing just 'good luck' lol
Wouldnt mind buying alot of stock of these along with the white lsdj sticker I used >..<Ah well I've a couple of clear PILs and they have the green one. I'll see what's inside of my yellow one some day.
All of my PILs had the green ones as well. Maybe the Nintendo returbs had the green pad and the original had white? Cause all my PILs had that Nintendo refurb sticker on the back. Never had an untouched PIL before.

Really? I'm pretty sure the envy mounted horizontally.
Ok, maybe I'm wrong. I'm thinking of the apeshit panels. Those mount with the wires on the bottom...
