I take it the lovely "snow" theme is the new white one (and wasn't available this morning) ?
Thanks! It looks, not only fantastic, but way less like something I shouldn't be browsing at work
????????????????

Tagging was the idea i passed to staff at another site a year or so ago, we agreed that we should do it here for sure.
OH you guys!
yeah we are all so fast at responses... when i posted there was only openback's response hehe
- Signatures (view dis/enabled through control panel)?
- private messaging (maybe)?
- View New POsts Since Last Visit?
- Mark All Forums Read?
- private messaging is already here. see MESSAGES tab. and under each avatar name there is a big blue PM link.
- mark forum as read is on the bottom of every forum i think
- "recent posts" at the top will display all recent posts, [NEW POSTS] blue button marks threads youve posted in and have new posts since your last visit
- No sigs will be allowed, use your member profile for your marker, sigs add clutter.
When the music area launches we want to be able to link to such sites as soundcloud as a option as oppose to uploading a mp3/sound file.
Of course a group would be cool too
[NEW POSTS] shows new posts in threads youvve participated in i believe.
You can also subscribe to threads
I also share the opinion that the most concise forum set-up is the best.
Here's how I would do it - Both Feature Requests and Report an Error could be specific threads instead of forums, right? So under Site Operations, you could have "Rules & Announcements", and "Bugs and Requests".
Under Community, you could possibly nix Meet-Ups? On another forum I post on that has no subforums beneath it, people have no trouble organizing meet ups around the country. I think I could see all that happening in the General Discussion. You could have a "Shows / Events" subforum to combine Upcoming and Past Events. How would you nicely browse all the upcoming shows and not have to wade through bumped threads about past shows, or discussions about booking shows? You could simply sticky them, and then unsticky when passed.
I am cool with all the hardware / software sections, I do like different platforms / tools having their own corner. If I had to dig through a million LSDJ threads to find NES related ones, that would be a a hassle.
So, the above would trim out 3 subforums! Just a suggestion of course, I appreciate the forums you have set up for us.
Good idea
I'm so confused
Means you posted in a forum thread.
And in your profile there is a link:

yes please open port 80 for the interwebs
Just keep the door open for consolidation if certain forums dont catch fire (look at you, circuit bending!")
yes of course, I too think the less the better
Maybe that is because the same designers from blips past have been doing the design here.
There are 21 forums, 10~ less then some other sites.
We tried to keep the count donw low while not mixing things up too much.
you already mentioned 2 really great ones for leads. ymvst & quadrasid
of course there is also chipsounds
