It's up to you. I'd personally just go and try to do the internal jack seeing that fixing the external ones isn't working too well.

Maybe you should try this:

(It's a video of a guy who added an internal headphone jack)

You need to connect the pocket LCD to front board
Oops yah sorry that's what I meant to say . You connect it to the front board then connect that to your back board. Thanks for pointing that out.

You might just have to get a new front board (sorry ). Or you could connect a gameboy pocket screen to your gameboy back pcb and salvage your gameboy that way. Those are the only solutions I would use if I was in your position.

How do you remove the text on a clearboy like that? Do you use vinegar or something?

Anyone have an suggestions on where else to buy these besides where nordloef suggested. I'm only asking because the site that he linked to doesn't even seem to sell any Gameboy stuff anymore

That xboxboy really is cool and unique. I always thought about adding a joystick to a Gameboy but never got to it. Is the Gameboy easy to use with the joystick?

Wasn't the green gameboy an original first as well? That makes the picture above incomplete.
Oops yah it is pretty incomplete. I guess I just saw most of them and assumed everything was there.

Well if there's some paperwork saying that the guys mom actually did win it on a game show then I guess it'd be worth something special. However if there's no paperwork to be had then it appears to be just a normal Gameboy painted pink.
EDIT: Someone found a picture of all of the Gameboy original versions and got this image:
If this image is correct then the pink Gameboy is real and probably pretty rare.
