NICE RELEASE

Tototek also has some too.  I might order there SMS version and replace the one in mine.  Let us know how it goes!

Honestly, if you're gonna snatch a SID, use it for something awesome like the MIDIbox.  Not enough of those to go around to be carefree with them.  wink  Take a look at some of the emulation options like godinpants mentioned.

I love sidechain style volume ducking.  Anyone been able to coax a nice sounding one out of piggy?  I've been playing with VOLM and filter commands all day.  It's so easy in LSDJ, just use some global volume commands.

It would be cool to stitch single cycle waveforms together within piggy.  Perhaps through a feature I would LOVE -- render selected portion as sample.  Gives you unlimited channels!

Thanks guys!  A lot of work went into this, so I'm glad you like it.  I like Tron too. big_smile

Friggin' awesome. I love EL wire.
How was the syncing done?

I just wired up a handheld toggle switch on each suit.  Cheap and easy, but practicing the timing was difficult.  Dancing in the dark WAS hard.  If I had to do this all over again, I might go with a fancier timed solution.

what the hell is an EL wire and how do I get some?

It's a thin copper wire coated in phosphor that glows when current is run through it.  Different colored sheaths yield other color glows.  You can buy it all over the place, but good luck putting it together. wink

I wrote the script of a musical for my schools band program (it's a quirky variety show that the band has been putting on for a long time).  While the whole show was good fun (I played Captain James T Clef... wink ), I'm particularly proud of this number called the "Droid Dance".  With some sewing help I put together 7 EL wire suits (soldering this is no fun).  My friend did the choreography and I did the music -- on LSDJ of course.  Pretty neat considering a few hundred community members saw this.

(There's some pretty nasty blur here.  I'm sure there will be more recordings in the future, but if you're friends with me on facebook, there's a better one on there.)

And the music (not my favorite, but I think it fits).

Send Neil all your bug reports!  I've had some issues too, but haven't sent him any yet.  THIS IS WHAT WE NEED TO DO!

Thinking about buying one of these to stick into my DMG, (you might even be able to fit one into a color!).  But they price of those nano's on ebay is reaalllly nice.

Now I'm interested...

I was thinking about getting one of those FM boards.  Does anyone know if the installation process for a PAL SMS2 is the same for an NTSC SMS2?  My guess is I could follow the guide for the former and the latter would be the same.
