AFAIK it was only on the mailing list... gwEm is such a tricksy!

There's probably no way I can help, but it would be fun to have a NES hacking get together.  I can bring my soldering iron and Powerpak! wink

Casperelectronics is such a cool site.  Synthy seems slightly overpriced... but I'll probably get it sometime down the road.  The plain PCB isn't that bad.  smile

Awesome!  That is only a little more expensive then what I've been able to find on MSX2 prices.

Wireless is excessive.  I liked the SNES controller idea, but really, any sort of breakout control would be fine.

When I move away from the DJ setup I'm currently using I plan on the Allen and Heath ZED-14

Tasty!  100 Series from Uniform Wares. $156

If you're going AY, nothing beats Atari ST... wink

I love the redundancy of GB Boy.

STJ is so rad!  My only wish is that there could be more similar programs on other consoles.  If I had this on the Genesis I would die. heart

I dig it... nice work!

The box I would buy in a heartbeat:

- 4x DMG + Cart slots
- Breakout ports for controllers
- 4x pitch with the LTC1799 controlled by MIDI
- 4x MIDI controlled lowpass filters
-  Possibly an opamp circuit to boost the GB's  a little bit
-  That chip NeX linked does look cool... maybe a little much though.

Some arduino jimmy rigging would be needed to get the extra outputs for the LTC1799's and filters, might even need to move to a bigger platform like the arduino mega.  I would just leave the software part out of all of this, so as to not infringe on any material or whatnot.  (Cart slots mostly solve this problem).
I'd just leave the NES seperate from this project.  It might be worth it to remove the screens all together, as pretty as they look.  sad  Can't say I'm a fan of the "Ninstrument" name.  I think it would be a better idea to move away from association with video games to really get a professional project.  + another hear hear for a DIY kit version!  Keep up the good work though - great potential here.  smile

(If you really wanted to go all out, you could design new PCB's for this form factor.  See:  http://chipmusic.org/forums/topic/4485/ … pcb-files/ )

I would not mind a write up!  I'd love to read it.  A kit would be amazing - if it was priced reasonably enough, I'd buy one for sure!

Also, ctrix posted on the rockit forums that he's working on new firmware and some cases... woot!

Lemme guess: PSP, right? Bug has been targeted and reported. herr_prof said that backing up and reformatting his memory stick fixed the issue somehow.

Yes!  PSP-2000.  I'll have to see what I can do.  I would like to go full Caanoo though, so I'll probably try to sell this bad boy before fixing.
