The sound samples sound great. Synthesis is cool, love the whole improvisation aspect, too pricey though!

I've got 4 keyboards. I haven't been using them much, so you can has them. Make me an offer with any neat gear you've got!
Casio HT-700 - It's a beast, functions perfect, pretty snappy cosmetically
Yamaha PSS-130 - Stylish, Cosmetically perfect, I have the official AC adapter, flattened box too, if you want it, battery contacts are loose, don't shake it, probably easily fixed
Yamaha PSS-20 - Silly little keyboard, no battery cover, pretty grubby cosmetically, works perfectly though
Casio PT-100 - Delicious keyboard, no battery cover, one contact is slightly corroded, functions perfectly as well, a few scratches,
Any takers? Probably no overseas though.

A story on putting emphasis on second syllables.
William was a rich hermit crab who owned a mansion. He frequently bought things which his butler received. He had ordered a new shell, and his doorbell had just rung. His scholarly English butler who frequently puts emphasis on second syllables answered the door. The shell salesman had arrived. The butler greeted him. "Good evening Mr. TurTELL." To this Mr. Turtle answered politely and dropped off his shell. Williams lawn had fallen into a state of disrepair, so he had ordered some new manure. Soon the ornery manure salesman arrived at Williams house. The good butler (although a little snidely) answered the door. "Good evening Mr. RabBIT." To this Mr. Rabbit's reply was " Good day! I'm Mr. RabBIT and I've brought the ----"
THE END
Grammar jokes anyone?

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to go protest our incredibly corrupt Governor.
My education is getting screwed over because of this. I hate him.

For me, it's the actual synthesis. The change of sounds from mainstream music fascinates me. Limitations are good. It does encourage creativity. But I'm as likely to listen to a good "song" as I am to something technically impressive. A lot of chipmusic's fascination for me is in what is possible given these limitations.

I've still been looking for a MSX. I could only do trades though, interested in a 1040STe or other systems?

Don't forget this!
I talked directly to him, and this indeed seems to be true. There are some joyous times ahead!Theta_Frost wrote:AFAIK aren't Smartboy Carts the same design by the Polish IT students? Just saying you can't hate on bleep bloop and not hate on smart boy.
If you just look at the carts, you're absolutely right. But there's a bunch of other circumstances speaking for Jose's disadvantage. And you could argue that you should have higher expectations of the owner of 8bc than on some guy in the middle of nowhere in China. And also, Smartboy only ever produced small quantities of cartridges and they fucked up their distribution, so that problem sort of solved itself.
Cool, some of that stuff needed to be cleared up. There has been way to many misconceptions about the designs of those two. I'm excited for EverGB! I have a feeling it will be overkill for just LSDJ but the quality is sure to be top notch. The abrasive cart looks like it will be awesome too. I'm thinking EverGB for single DMG stuff, and abrasive's carts for when I'm using multiple GB's. The future is bright!

Building your own is always a possibility. I'm still debating getting some PCB's made up for personal use. Everdrive for the GB is on the horizon as well!
