I did receive a new link for my purchase...two days later, after I already bought the albums again lol. It doesn't really matter, the guy deserves the money.

I download the highest quality available because digital music is meant to be encoded in CD quality (at least). The guy told me how he exported the files so it's legit and I have some software that can detect if the audio is lossless or encoded from MP3 or something like that.

I did suggest download codes to him when I emailed him but he didn't say anything about that. He's Russian and he doesn't speak English very well so I'm not sure he understood everything I said. I also didn't want to bother him any further since it's not that big of a deal.

If this works you better not delete the receipt emails or you'll have to buy them again. I'll let you know if they actually give you new links or maybe someone else can confirm it.

So I bought two albums simultaneously off Bandcamp three weeks ago and I couldn't download them until today. The problem is the link expired and it told me that I can buy them again. I contacted the composer and he did give me some alternatives to download the tracks (they are basically free on his website and also available as a torrent) but they aren't as good as the Bandcamp versions (FLAC and also different rendering because the original files were Impulse Tracker module files).

I wasn't gonna settle for those inferior downloads and the composer couldn't really help me any further but then I noticed that you can report this sort of issue to the staff at Bandcamp. So I did that, I sent them the email I received after I purchased the albums; it contains the download link and everything. My question is, does this sort of thing actually work? Do they give you a new link or am I just wasting my time hoping that they'll do that? Does anyone have any experience with this problem?

Yeah, I know this topic doesn't exactly relate to the forum though the albums are chip music and chip music composers use Bandcamp quite frequently I think, so this was pretty much the best place for me to ask.

lol they spammed the shit out of that SoundCloud page for the song.

@Fearofdark You mean more stupid than they already look? That's almost impossible.

Basically a bunch of wigger rappers sampled "Arcanine" by Sabrepulse as can be seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3o-V-26op8

The original by Sabrepulse: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jSOBBxJplBY

I know it's not that relevant here but the original track is part chiptune so I guess it does have some relevance. I still find it quite hilariously bad. Who the hell are these people?

I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I thought I'd share some music which in my opinion is really great.

I have discovered Darkman007 a while ago and I have to say I am really impressed with his tunes.
These ones in particular: http://darkman007.bandcamp.com/track/gr … ouse-cover
http://darkman007.bandcamp.com/track/pill-of-sorrow
http://darkman007.bandcamp.com/track/mr-droichen
http://darkman007.bandcamp.com/track/sad-song

Really moody stuff, so I don't know if all of you like that but in my opinion it's really good. That kind of stuff motivates me to do great things.

Check out his Bandcamp page here: http://darkman007.bandcamp.com/

Followed every account posted in this thread that was still available and not deleted. That took a while and now I have about a hundred more people that I follow.

I don't have a personal account, but you can follow this one: https://twitter.com/SoundWaveTrax
I promote mostly free music and a most of it is chip music.

Listening to your own music is like listening to exactly what you want to hear.

When you get it right. I actually love some of my stuff as weird as it may sound. Some of my tracks make me feel quite emotional, almost to the point of making me cry. That's due to the fact that a lot of my stuff was inspired by sad events\depression. For that reason I feel really connected to most of my work. Hopefully I will be able to release some fully finished stuff by next year. I have a lot of inspiration for a bunch of releases that I hope I will be able to finish in the near future.

Thought so. Alright, I'll read that and someone can lock this.

I know this will sound silly but I love a lot of my stuff. It's basically all work in progress but I have many projects which are pretty much spot on in regards with what I was aiming for. I find that some of my tracks make me very emotional, some of them almost make me cry. I guess I take a very emotional approach to making music and I find that to be very inspiring. I feel quite fulfilled when I make something which gives me some sort of strong feeling.

So, how about you? Does your own music make you feel sad, or happy or something?
