Hmmm thats odd that it would support both. And the batteries are brand new just bought them 2 days ago and put them in last night. I haven't event tried my power adapter yet. Never even thought it might not be getting enough power. I'll try plugging the gameboy into a power supply and if that fails I'll slap some batteries in the keyboard and see of it helps give it enough power. If these fail I'll probably hit you up for a DMG to ps/2 adapter. Or I'll just break down and buy a damn keyboard from someone, this is my 4th attempt and I'm honesty getting sick of trying been wanting one for over a year just getting annoyed with the destruction of so many keyboards with no results. I honesty think a lot of it is I don't know how to set up LSDJ for keyboard except to sync it. My version may not be compatible. Ie read that a lot of the newer versions won't run keyboards anymore. I dunno I'll keep playing with it...Blum to get it working one day.

Re: My first LSDJ keyboard. (Completed) (15 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
Okay guys i got it all hooked up. Does anyone know how to set it up to actually play on lsdj version 4.5.4? I'm not having any luck. Then again I don't know how set it up or build an instrument that is compatible with a keyboard. Any walk throughs anyone can point me to?
Edit: okay I read that the keyboard works with version 4.6.5 and I've tried again an still no luck. The keyboard flashes when I plug it in or power the gameboy on and I go to sync and put it on keyboard and I try to play. I press start and have the phrase running trough and still no luck. I've swapped the two cables that could possibly be wrong an still nothing. No solder is touching anywhere in my keyboard. Is there an older version I should play with that works for te keyboard? And how do I actually get the instruments ad stuff laid out to actually play. I've checked out Thretris tutorial for it and no luck. Can any one tell me a flat out simple easy ass way to set up a test instrument that is fail proof so I can make sure it's not the keyboard or is the keyboard.

Re: My first LSDJ keyboard. (Completed) (15 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
I think I can figure the keyboard side out now. The main issue I'm having is the four colors of the DMG wire I need to use. And which is which. I'm using a DMG-07 four player adapter so I know it's a common one used. Someone out there has to know what color wire is what lol.

Hey guys I'm hoping one of you can help me. I've looked on google and I can't find anywhere that actually lists in flat out lamens terms what the wires from a DMG-07 four player adapter are. Ive heard this is the wire to use to make a keyboard the easiest. So it being so commonly use some one has got to know right? Also hoping some one can help with the keyboard points itself. The keyboard is labeled but not at the same time. Lol
DMG-07 wires Pic:
I know I only use four of the wires but which four? And what are they individually?
Keyboard Daughter Board Pic:
I have no idea what D- and D+ are. I'm assuming one must be data and the other is clock but which?
I also am guessing that G is ground and V is power?
Anyone know for sure? First person that flat out names the DMG Wires for me an helps me get the keyboard wires right I'll mail you a DMG-07 four player adapter for you to play with. I have 3 of them so have no problem sending you one if you want it free of charge. And I'll even cover the shipping. I can even send you the board and box of the one I cut these wires out of since I have no use for it except the wire lol.

Selling or trading this bad boy:
Looking for around 85$ for it. Make me some offers though I'm down for bartering.
Also it comes with box and instruction manual. Been used maybe 4 times. Great condition. Also has like new Velcro on the bottom for easy installing to a pedal deck if you rock with one of those.
LF List:
-Clear DMG Good case condition preferably with a backlight mod. Green if possible.
-Three grey boys workin good condition, no mods.
-Lots of messed up DMGs cases and parts. But just cases work.
-Two modded not painted LSDJ keyboards.
-The adapter for DMG-ps/2 for using a standard keyboard with lsdj
And what ever else you want to throw at me.
I'll take trades but I'd prefer money's via PayPal. I have my eye on a case Kitsch is selling and I want to get it before Anyone else can grab it. Thank you for your time guys.
Email me at [email protected] or PM me on here Im on here every day about every hour or so so I can get back to you quickly.

If you know any airbrush techniques you'd be okay with sharing with me I'd greatly appreciate a PM if you're up to it giving me some advice, wizard to newcomer lol.

Re: Front lighting a color Help? (4 replies, posted in Nintendo Handhelds)
Thanks guys. And Maize I've actually used that tutorial before step by step used the correct sp and everything and it turned didn't work at all. It didn't light the screen at all. The soldering points were no issue at all, I solder smaller points all the time. But it didn't light the screen up very well. I think maybe a quarter of the screen was lit up lol. Even in the dark it didn't turn out how I was hoping. It mainly just added a really bad glare to the screen. But it was my first and only try maybe I messed something up. Since you recommend it I'll give it another shot. I have a source to get SPs for about 10$ so I'll grab one and try again and hopefully my results are better than before.

Just curious of anyone knows how to front light a gameboy color while keeping the power led intact? Also how much would it cost for you to do it for me. Or can you send me somewhere that tells me exactly what I need and how to do it as cheaply as possibly. Id prefer not sacrificing an SP. I've heard of people doin it with some leap frog system. It I don't know which one or how.

That pink one, well grey painted pink and sanded down, looks awfully familiar. I think I almost bought that same case off a guy a few months back lol. But someone had beaten me to it. Must've been you. As for the bearded guy one at the top did you oldonthat yourself? And if so what type of paint did you use? I paint cases too and I'm just curious what your steps are for a project like that?
Also that purple one is fucking gorgeous!!! Even without the blue swirly thing on it.

I think the main thing people are excited about is the possibility of separate left and right audio outs being easier to install and looking nicer externally. I know that's one of the things in excited about.
Edit: a picture of the inside of the case would be cool to see so we can start getting ideas of what we can do with the space. And see how much extra space there really is.

Re: Kitsch-Bent.com Updates (latest newsletter!) (1,485 replies, posted in Trading Post)
I would also prefer it without the text to be honest, one of the main things i hate about the gameboy color is the concave letters on the buttons and the convex start/ select and the Nintendo logo. I'm excited though because of everything else that is smooth. I will have some fun with the back of those things. For the letters though you mention being able to cut them off and sand them down...if you do clear cases it won't be so simple, is it? I also support the idea for doing a run without speaker holes. Leave the stuff inside there that the speaker can sit in still but fill the holes. Atleast do a limited run of like 50 or something. I'm sure a lot of people would love to get their hands on one. I sure as hell know I'd love to get my hands on a few. 100% smooth case for painters. Maybe a packaged kit pick a case color and a screen color and button colors. Sold as a set for a little cheaper than if they were bought separately. Okay shutting up now lol.
