Nanoloop can't act as MIDI synth, but mGB can.

only via copy & paste of an empty bank.
this would leave bank names unaffected though. to overwrite bank names, too, go to the empty bank's name, change one digit, change it back to " ", switch to the next bank and return to the empty bank (this will save the empty bank's empty name). then copy the empty bank and paste it to the banks you wish to clear.

OK
I uploaded some polyrhythm patterns from Volca (both around 35 BPM) with individual shutter settings for individual instruments.

Thank you. Can you automate stutter for each step?

Yes, I'm considering an iOS/Android version that's more close to the GB versions. Currently I'm too busy with the latter though.

The number "2" on the right, let me think it is a software/hardware issue, maybe a bad flash or something.

This means that no valid saved data have been found on the cart, saved loops/songs have been wiped or damaged. You can proceed with B+START+SELECT, this will clear the memory and delete any data fragments that may still be on the cart. If you have no backup but really need these data, do not press START+SELECT and send me the cart instead, I may be able to extract some banks remaining in memory.

The 2.5 cart hardware, which is different from the other 2.x versions, is generally more prone to data loss.

Hi, ive never tested the cables with the POs. The cables are made in use with the KORG Monotribe and the VOLCAS to sync LSDJ and NANOLOOP.

I think the voltage level on the PO's output is too low (audio levels instead of proper 5V) to get recognized as logic levels by the Game Boy. Syncing POs probably only works with nanoloop as master.

And I need to correct myself: Cables are available for master and slave mode.

I think he also sold cables for nanoloop as master.

You did press START on the Game Boy, right?

The cables currently available from eVade are for nanoloop as slave. Maybe you have one of these? Then you'd set nanoloop to slave with A+B and the PO12 to master with SY1 and start it. Nanoloop will run in halfspeed though because the POs send clock only every 2nd step.

Interesting. The absence of swing held me off buying one so far, but I always wondered if stutter could be used as a workaround. I don't need actual swing, just something to vary the rhythm outside the 1/16 grid. Looks like automated stutter may work even better for that.
Thank you.

1.6:
www.nanoloop.com/update/nl163.gb

This is the update ROM, it only works on a nanoloop one cart.

Older versions don't work on nanoloop one and the older carts can't be updated, so these are available as demo (for flash cart or emulator) only:

www.nanoloop.com/update/nl15d.gb (lacks the extra voice that comes from the cart)

Yes.
If you have the right cable type (any cable that's GB Pocket / Color compatible, GBA cable does not work) and the adaptor plugged in as shown in the image, it should be possible to update.

OK, let's focus on the Chrome version.

To check if the USB-MIDI works properly, click "MIDI mode" and click on "MIDI" of the mode buttons. It should immediately say "MIDI mode OK". If it just shows "..." below the buttons, something is wrong.

Which updater are you using? What happens when you try to update?

I made a few changes to the Chrome version of the updater, too and could finally test under Windows (8.1) where it works fine.

update ROM:
http://www.nanoloop.com/update/nanoloop279.mb

or load it via chrome:
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/370 … index.html

demo:
http://www.nanoloop.com/update/nanoloop279d.gba

To toggle the bar / dots view and note values, press A+START in the menu.

There are a few minor changes in this update:

- time cursor shows current position for step pause
- slower memory access on startup for better 2.5 cart compatibility
- improved contrast in inverted and b&w modes

I'm sorry, it was the wrong ROM. I have updated the files. Please try again.
