That's exactly what it's for! Almost everybody I know uses a WAV instrument with a P command in the table to make a kick (unless they use samples). You're really intuitive! You'll be a lsdj wizard in no time.

I use noise channel for kicks mostly. But you're right, Wav channel with P command in the table is the best way for the best Kick.

Just make music oftenest as you can. Play gigs oftenest as you can. Experiences comes with experiences.

SD2IEC or get some old floppies. But you also have to save some programs to them, so you have also get some cable between PC (with paralell port - LPT1) and C64 and run your C64 floppy drive as disc drive in Starcommander. So the easiest way is SD2IEC.

Yeah. Sounds like one LSDJ. Brings new blood to my veins.

Just sit down and work on your songs, you lazy bastards. Don't waste your time on this forum. And take more drugs. Much more.

I actually found this one while ago (after I bought Fostex casette multitrack), but I still didn't try to make something similar:

Right, My fault. Sorry. So Midibast. Or some Midi to CV converter.

I think the cheapest solution is to use nanoloop as master clock.
Nanoloop seems to send 12ppqn clock (48 pulses in 1 pattern).
Volca runs on 2 ppqn (8 pulses in 1 pattern)
So you have to divide nanoloop clock by 6 to get right clock for Volca
(it actually should work as it is, but Volca will run 6x faster than nanoloop).
So you have to find schematics with 4017 clock divider.
actually, you have to adjust this schematics for your needs i think:

clear?
or anyone disagree?

Rob sells USB cartridges, but you have to ask him. Send him mail.

I have it, Foud it somewhere on the net, but I didn't try it properly. I'm not sure if it is fully finished. Can I send it to you somewhere? If you are interested, PMme.

Finally someone satisfied my mom completely! wink
BTW did you tried Sidlead 2.0?

Also I reject the idea that chip sounds need crappy drum machines. I think the mix sounds great.

I don't mean crappy drum machines. I mean some less usual samples and more lightweight samples. I mentioned some examples and these drummachines / keyboards doesn't have crappy sound in any way. Just different and more gentle, pleasant. I just think this kind of sound could fit to spacetown's music much more.

e.g. Mr Oizo used some Minipops rhythms for his Last night a DJ killed my dog song (which I like a lot):

I think that snare is mind-blowing

I love you. But I think 808 samples doesn't fit to your music. Everybody uses it, but I think it's too sharp, straight for your music. You should look for some more gentle, light samples. Try some old preset drummachines like AceTone Rhythm or Korg Donca Matic (Minipops), or some drumsamples from analog toy keyboards (casio MT40, casioMT800, CasioPT...)
