Bastl-Instruments Micro Granny 2

I tried to synchronize Boss RC3 modified taptempo button to Analog CV gate/trigger of Roland TR606, but I'm not satisfied. RC3 just take first (about) 4 ticks and then it loops to this tempo, doesn't matter on TR606 trigger anymore, so it goes out of sync by some time.
I'm interested in similar looping possibilities, so if anyone has some idea...
There is also Jamman XT + Syncman solution, (midi & analog clock possibilities), but it's relatively expensive
or there is another solution, Looper with midisync and midi2trigger converter

Buy some vintage analog synthesizer and 4 track cassette recorder and learn to play keyboard...

Hi
Anyone using this old stuff?
Nanoloop 1.1 or 1.2?
any interesting recordings with this software?

Thank you. Can you automate stutter for each step?

You have to record shutter moves for whole pattern. No way to record it for each step individually.

Kick, Snare, Toms and Hats are analog, Other sounds are samples. There is no way to store your analog sounds settings. You can change pitch of sampled sounds, you can record pitch changes of sampled sounds for each sampled instrument individually and you can save these changes (or pitch settings) in each of 8 memories. So you actually could create some kind of musical, melodical patterns in sampled sounds channels.

OK
I uploaded some polyrhythm patterns from Volca (both around 35 BPM) with individual shutter settings for individual instruments.

no swing.

You can make some swing patterns using shutter. It is actually a great drummachine for polyrythms, because you can use shutter for retriggering / delaying individual instruments. Each one could have different timestructure with shutter. Also Shutter used in this way could add some kind of accent. I'll upload some of my patterns for imagination later. If You run it at about 35 BPM and you program it with shutter in 2x, 3x, 4x faster time, it's great. But if you use it this way, you can't sync it to other gear without some clock divider or something (as a slave)...
And yes, it has only 8 pattern memory, individual instruments volume sucks, muting sucks, you have to use both hands sometimes etc. Snare mod is actually extremly easy to do.

Hi
I use C64 for about ten years on stage with a band and I'm not satisfied with any existing C64 software. I have some relatively clear idea about music tracker/sequencer for live usage, so I'm looking for a coder.
Anyone interested?
Cheers

Ok
so to be clear about clock (as i get it):

LSDJ used analog clock OUT
it's Nanoloop sync
12 ppqn (pulses per quarter note)

you can use it with other gear, but you have to build clock divired to slow clock down
Korg Monotribe, Korg Polysix, Roland SH101, Korg MS series, Boss DR220 uses 1 pulse per step (1 pulse per sixteenth note)
so, 4ppqn

Korg Volca uses 1 pulse per 2 steps, so 2ppqn

LSDJ didn't have Analog clock In yet
Now, you can use LSDJ as a slave to other gear

as mentioned in LSDJ manual, The TICKS/STEP setting controls how many LSDj ticks should be generated for each incoming sync signal.

LSDJ is based on 6 ticks/step
So, if you are triggering from Monotribe, Monotribe sends 1 pulse per step, you have to set LSDJ to 6 ticks/step

If you are triggering LSDJ from Volca, you have to set LSDJ to 12 ticks/step.

If you'd like to trigger LSDJ with Dinsync (Sync 24, Roland standard, TR707, TR606, Prophet64 etc.), it sends 24ppqn
( 24ppqn = 6 pulses per sixteenth note = 6 pulses per step)
so, you have to set LSDJ to 1 tick/step

I don't know, how tape sync of my TR707 works (what clock does it send), I didn't used it
But it should be 24ppqn
I didn't find it in TR707 operation manual

If you'd like to trigger LSDJ with Dinsync (Sync 48, Korg standard, KPR-77), it sends 48ppqn
( 48ppqn = 12 pulses per sixteenth note = 12 pulses per step)
so, you have to use clock divider to slow this clock, because you can't set LSDJ to less, then 1 ticks/step

Am I right?

With a little patience and a lot of self control you can get some great deals still.

True. I got my best deal - Farfisa Syntorchestra (cca 1200$ today) for about 30$. Insane enough? BTW. Nice collection. Specially Moog realistic. I'd like to try this little synth.

I don't think WD40 is good for clearing pots. Isopropyl alcohol. Or just google, how to clear scratchy pots.

OK
