Also I'm pretty sure this site is your best bet for finding shows in NYC, 8bc is mostly silly discussion, I don't know if people announce shows over there any more...

THIS SHIT WAS FUCKING INCREDIBLE cannot even believe how good that show was.

What makes a gameboy cover interesting is how people invent sounds to work around the limitations, and make it recognizable, but usually dissimilar sounding.

see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myohIob9lgk for a great example.

Since nanoloop 2.x is a pure softsynth, it would be relatively easy to write a WAV converter for nanoloop 2.5 files, I may integrate one into the USB PC software one day.

That would be super cool, particularly if you could export individual channels/loops big_smile

Well kitsch likely won't be present at 8static, but something might be able to be worked out with one of the single members of the 8static crew

chip music is an aesthetic and an intent, if it's not made as chip music, it is not chip music. if you make something and call it chip music, it probably is.

I think chip music is a perfectly acceptable term

It's not that I'm against using the phrase "chip music", it's just I think "chiptune" sounds much more professional. I don't really care to be honest, call it nitpicking tongue

wait you think chiptune sounds more professional? lol?

THIS IS THIS COMING WEEKEND, GET STOKED

ALSO: WE'RE HAVING A RAFFLE! MORE DETAILS TO FOLLOW! wink

that's true, but really only as long as it's being used along with something else. I don't know I'm grumpy.

Yeah, nanoloop, from what I hear, works kind of weirdly though, so who knows, I guess..
I'm really just hoping for some way to get my separate loops more easily, because I'm lazy.
