May I inquire as to why you want such a rom?

I play cards games, and i thought it would be cooler to do life on a gameboy than on my iphone.

it will more than likely become more tedious and make you go insane

circuit bending is not hard and really really fucking cool man!
and i installed midi on my SK1, so installing midi on a speak and spell shouldnt be to hard either.
I think reed put one up on his sight somewhere

Im pretty sure it will, but youll have a limited track count. I think 7 is the last version for ppc?

Fuck, it sucks when you have to do panning in protools because the mbox(s) i have dont pick up stereo, they have two mono inputs, and the dmg does not hmm
nor do any of my other instruments besides my Kaossilator

This is what seems to be the recipe for chipbreak:
- Melody
- Panning
- Prog Bassline
- Wave Kicks (Noi Kicks As Well)
- Amen Break

So where are all the good break samples?
Or how about break tutorials?

Any good non popular chipbreak examples would be good to!

Haha well I found out something dandy:
Even though the machine was a G3 the prior owner upgraded it to G4 700hz so I'm pretty happy
And do you mean a protools sound card?
I have a spare Mbox 2
I guess I will have to find a torrent for protools 7 or 6 LE

I thought you meant like a proper calendar with monthly chip pin-ups.

this also sounds like a cool idea

I second that

Quite a common mistake but it has OSX Tiger on it guys!
I would put os9 on it if I had restor discs or something,
I was just thinking about putting protools on it and a tracker,
Maybe an old version of cubase!

according to this... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Retro_style ... chipmusic is not retro anymore!...

so... what's the new RETRO!???? so my conclusion is... the new RETRO is (in america)... the sound and use of any...

TurboDuo, Atari Jaguar,  3DO Interactive Multiplayer, Saturn, Virtual Boy,  PlayStation, Nomad, N64...

according to this... since they are from 1992 to 1997
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_o … th_America

I guess I'm very retro because I quite often sample sounds off of My beloved 3DO
(for the record, 3do's sound blends so well with the timbre-esque tones of the gameboy, just wait till I'm done with my EP and you'll see)
I'd love to have a gritty n64 sampler!

Anyways I think that chiptune is retro purely based on the idea that the music is mainly composed on outdated hardware that is novelty.
And even if people don't consider the gameboy novelty anymore, they often associate with console specific title like Blue version and Terri's blast which are old, so once again it becomes retro! Hell this is confusing myself
I'm tired
