I think that this thread is just starting to verge on being a console war. This was about the music making aspects. Resume discussing music making like adults.

I don't necessarily think so, I just think there was a brief, small misunderstanding.

I love the way the SNES sounds. it's very... analog. And rez, wedanced was not talking about the Genesis being better than the SNES in general, but simply in terms of music production/sound design. Synthesis is always way more enjoyable to work with than sample-based means of making music, in my opinion.

edit: grammar

I wish I had actually gone into the crowd at some point during this performance, instead of hung outside and passively listened whilst talking to people. It's really heartening to see chiptunes/chipmusic go a more serious direction and abandon the video game aesthetic.

For GBS files, GBSplay is a wonderful and simple terminal player. Same with SIDplay.

One thing I would like if possible for you to add to your huddle, there was a bit of a situation about ten minutes before this post. One user was being border line rude and flooding and could have done with a bit of operator/moderator intervention but I wasnt able to get in touch with anyone. Would it be possible for us to PM fat controller and request op action then FC could PM the active ops or something?

It would be excellent if we could all have a vote to kick somebody, maybe if three or five people typed in !kickvote [name of jerk] it would kick them, or even do a knockout (ten minute ban).

Didn't mean to send the wrong message or offend anyone. Of course this is not the sort of event you were trying to promote, and of course I am not trying to objectify women here.

Blip made me a much better musician, after the post-Blip chipmusic burnout and ripping off other artists syndrome faded away.

I made some wonderful friends there, every single person I met was super nice, respectful, and interesting to talk to.

I got really fucking sick.

Good-looking girls are an age-old marketing tool. Letting ladies in free/at a discount really helps, having girls market your gig helps, anything without a Y chromosome helps.
