Haven't done anything *massively* crazy yet. I played squaresounds festival covered in bright blue electroluminescent wire once. That was fun.

that shit was awesome.

i once nearly stole some expensive drink out of a jug that trash80 and ctrix were sharing cause it was clear and sitting on the bar next to the jug of water and i thought it was water. lolz were had.

i think i did the first tb-303 and gameboy crossover? correct me if i'm wrong (how many people actually have 303s tho :v)

but the craziest thing for me is just thinking about the friends i've made and seen develop through this music and its enthusiasts. how all these chip guys from around the country and the world have been able to meet my brother and my girlfriend and all these other friends of mine. how i got to have a conversation with bryface that basically stopped me from quitting university. feels surreal to me sometimes!

are you trying to put it in a phrase or a table?

why 7F, instead of 00 ?

cause 00 is usually where the first actual idea i come up with ends up going, and 7F feels more separated

i just use whichever chain, phrase, instrument or table is available. no naming or special numbering conventions, except all my empty/mostly empty chains are 7F-70 and my empty/mostly empty phrases are are FF-F0 (i work backwards through these for some reason).

my save files are a mess, but i don't often lose track of anything cause all the lower numbers end up coinciding with earlier parts of the track or repeated themes. it's kinda like how i use a DAW really!

basically instead of using transposes to change your noise shape you just have to use the S command instead.

how it works is like, if your noise shape is set to ED for instance, then S01 changes it to EE, SFF changes it to EC, and then S10 and SF0 have the same effect as moving the note in the phrase up or down an octave. you can even do something wacky like start with a noise shape value of D4 and then put an S command like S2D a couple lines down in the table, so you're moving between two different noise types. it makes a cool clap-snare kinda sound.

the main difference for people switching from old versions is that, unlike transposes, S commands stack. so having SFF followed by another SFF is the same as having a transpose that goes FF and then FE

try converting the transposes to equivalent S commands (e.g. SFF or SFE) and leave it in free mode

Been going on like that for MUCH longer! I have some mates from Zim, and their currency has been devalued to the point where it's easier to trade clothes and other things (DMG Gameboys too, I guess) for bread than to buy it. That man is a fucking monster, and it is a sad, miserable place sad

yeah he's been in power longer than i've been on earth. i was trying to do a #kony2012 thing but forgot the hashtag :v
