Damn, I'd definitely get on this if it wasn't shipping from the UK. Postage the the US would probably be a fortune...

ah.... interesting, i've found myself favoring guitar amps over bass amps in live settings. i just assume because of the freq. one can get with chip-music timbres bass amps would be better suited. doesn't seem to be the case necessarily.
btw. fun set up. hours of sounds to explore me thinks

I agree, I experimented with an older fender bass amp and it never had that crispy richness that my guitar amps tend to have. It's weird but I actually really enjoy playing through a guitar amp. My typical setup is
DMG > Kaosspad > mixer > amp/pa whatnot.

I'm actually kind of curious as well.

"Hmmm what's my rating?"
"4."
"4 out of...?"
"5. 4 out of 5."
"And how was that decided?"
"They decide."
"Who are 'they'?"
"It's better if you don't know."

I chip-busk around SF fairly regularly, and one of the best conversations I've had went something like:
"so like... are you playing a game?"
"actually, I compose music using this 4 channel sequencer and trigger the different channels to play songs"
"so... it's an instrument?"
"kinda, yeah"
"but it looks like a gameboy"
"it is a gameboy"
"oh... so like... do you really like tetris or something?"

yes. I, xombie, really like tetris.

You could always call yourself Simon??? (asked in the form of a question)
The MC of each event would also end up kind of feeling like Ron Burgandy afterwards...

"Put your hands together for Simon???"
"I'm Simon???"
[thunderous applause from the crowd]

I'm going to be returning back to the great white north from December 26th until the end of January and I'm curious about finding gigs in either Calgary or Edmonton. Any ideas, or, maybe we could get together and talk turkey?

These things are pretty great. While yes, some of its sounds can be pretty cookie-cutter synth standards, the looping, vocoder, and arp gate abilities are pretty handy and fun to mess around with.

I've got a nanoloop 1.3 cart I've barely touched, I'm looking for either a prosound dmg or a backlit one, I would definitely be interested in a trade. PM me?
