Wow my first forum post in a long time because screw making a new account for my new music.

Holy drama batman.

Forewarning: I'm drunk.

Baconstuction can suck my nuts.
Wizwars is king.
Dark Warriors is a castles of awesomeness.
The new version of Telstar got a pub full of people to go WOAH.
My balls itch.

TL;DR : Baconguy, you're a saucy fartmachine of old pudding. Go smoke a bowl and pick up a new hobby.

I hope there's some video too! I was so sweaty after my set that it's actually soaked through my backpack now...

Thanks! I designed the flyer/poster and Wizwars tweaked it and fixed it up to look its best! I'm really excited to go to this!

what's so bad about hitting play and just fucking sitting down and staring at the audience

Brilliant. I'm so doing this in LA in June. I'll get a great big comfy chair and just eyefuck the audience.

7F for mute all the way!

I'm reading this thread for tips because I've never played live and I have a show coming up...

Take a shot. Mental pep talk. Drink a liter of coffee. If you're hyped and have high energy on stage, the audience will vibe off it. When I played my first live in February, I had a few drinks with Bleeds, and despite having one of my song files corrupted, I went along with it and drunkenly improvised something and it turned out much better than expected!

I recently had a NYC Rap-Core band confront me about my name "xombie". After showing them my myspace being active since 2007, and theirs only since 2010, they've stopped emailing me. I am also applying for a Performing Artists trademark. If you can manage to trademark your name before the other party, there shouldn't be any further confrontations. There are other trademarks under "xombie" but none for performing artists, there's an animated series, and a book.

Of course! That's the only way to know if you've got a clean recording. *rim hit*

If I were able to supply my own clear pocket, would you be able to backlight/prosound it?

Zef, if I was able to organize it, would you be able to come out to Calgary to play a chip show?

Depends on a lot of things; venue, reach, etc.

I wouldn't come out for a bar show or anything that small scale but if you get something decent organized I'd consider making the trip out yup.

Me and some friends were talking about it, and in order to draw a decent crowd, we're probably going to open the event up to include all experimental electronic music, not just exclusively chiptune, due to the lack of a well-developed scene up here in Canadia. And for venue we're thinking of a couple venues or legion halls.

I wish I had a way of contacting Grescreen, I've got a couple friends that are checking into venues. Benindetto, if you have enough tracks for a set, I'm sure we could work out something to showcase your sounds!

Battle Lava, if I came to Montreal, would there be a gig? I've been itching for more shows!
