We did discuss this when creating the site. We decided specifically not to have an "off-topic" forum, but instead a "general discussion" board for discussions that don't fit into any of the other forums. The difference between "off-topic" and "general discussion" is important. Things in general discussion should still be at least tangentially related to chip music culture or common interests that people might have. If you just want to post the latest joke image you found, go get a tumblr or something. CM as a whole is supposed to be reasonably on topic.

There was a hiccup on the server. I've deleted the duplicate entry. You can try uploading the song again now if you want.

Which songs? Can you show a screenshot?

Edit: nvm

I haven't actually tried Gameyob because my DS is currently broken, but maybe it is possible to remap one of the shoulder buttons to act like select?

You can get Lameboy DS here: http://lameboy.nutki.com/

But you should probably try Gameyob instead: http://gbatemp.net/threads/gameyob-a-ga … ds.343407/

Again, the big cost is R&D, not manufacturing. This is the problem with today's economy where a lot of products have a high initial investment and then the product can be manufactured for pennies. How do you recoup money in an economy like that?

Yeah, but that won't get you access to the SNES's sound chip, SPC:

For NES, Neil Baldwin has made a few utilities that might interest you.

For SNES, I'm not sure there's too much.

You're really sort of stuck with the name. We generally don't change people's names, and you're not really supposed to have multiple accounts either. If we did this "only for you" then the next person will ask why they can't have a name change when the first person got one. Sorry.

I'm pretty sure that you changed somebody else's name, not naming them, but it was kinda recent.

It can still happen at staff's discretion, but there needs to be a good reason beyond simply "I want to change my name".

I like your current forum name. I always read it as "sexy weekend" which is both funny and cool. wink

I've been wondering about. I'm not sure whether it's supposed to mean sexy or straight edge...

And here's a link that actually works if you're not on a mobile device:

No need to give any of that money to me. Consider donating some to ds10forum. The owners considered shutting it down when their hosting runs out, about March next year. They may be encouraged by a donation. Neil is a good choice too.

(Edit: Currently, cm.o doesn't accept donations.)
