I can't believe nothing has been said about the title of that track though. "Apple Dragon", discuss.

I was trying to avoid that subject

I've been using it for a few weeks already

It's pretty cool I guess, but it's harder to see a profile's sets

finally got to listen, tone down the effects on your screams seriously

it sounds like you're screeching, and then you're throwing some effect on there

Do you seriously like how that sounds?  If so I won't question it, but can you seriously tell me that's what you want your music to sound like?

Are you planning on not using a kick sound?  The one beat you use throughout is suffering.

We learned a lot when we released our first album:

Don't set a release date until the album is actually done (ie hold the finished album for a bit before release, maybe there are changes to be made)
Have everything ready to go so you can relax before release (extras and stuff)
Making an album is a lot harder than you think it is

If I'm just gonna be recording solo chip, audacity through the 1/8" mic input is fine idgaf

Recording chip + band we have a tascam dp-008, which is pretty cool.

FYI I could've been a lot harsher, but as the continuous edits attest I was constantly toning it down; just want to see you improve but you even took the parts of my comment that weren't aimed at you as an insult.  This is probably why da chip mastaz don't even bother coming into threads like this lol

No need to be on the defensive.  Everyone here is on your side.

No need to go that far chief, but thanks.  We're still babby's

EDIT: btw As for beats, drum fills to start would probably be good.  I tweeted something last night like, "It's not a waste of a chain if it makes the song better.  It's not bad to make a new phrase for the sole reason of placing a new chain at the end to add fills and flourishes to the end of musical sections." or something like that (I can't check Twitter at work yo).  Only time I've ever run out of phrases is doing covers, and I've never run out of chains (yet).  Obviously I'm talking LSDJ but this is basic; because a large percentage of chiptunes don't have lyrics, you have to differentiate your sections.  And if you repeat sections, change a few bits because the changes reward the listener

Why do you think Chip's Challenge members all work 3 jobs??????? lol

Nope, and you just tricked me into downloading it.

EDIT: Least you could've done is boosted the volume in audacity or something

EDIT: I didn't like it

EDIT: but seriously this was all filler no killer; your beats need work and you need to go above the C4 because everything sounded the same

EDIT: If that last bit was unclear, I'm not talking dynamic range (which you probably could also use) but your notes were never in different octaves or anything, or if they were, the melody wasn't compelling enough for me to notice

EDIT: humanizing your drums could go a long way as well, watch this, Danimal goes over it right in the beginning http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HAgM3KNhSLc

Keep working at it.  Never give up.
