You got a source on these flopps?

Pull the speakers out and you can add crossfading. Actually, with a small enough slider you could make it work too.

I have searched forever and can not find any information on how to build my own, do you know how I could obtain said information?

Would be really useful for future projects

Super Boomer Mod

The Idea of this mod is to add more line out jacks to a "Doc's Mini Boomer" which is a unit that plugs into the headphone jack of a original gameboy and then outputs the audio in 2 speakers inside the device which makes it "true stereo". I saw some going cheap and decided to buy 3 of them myself to see if I could add 2 RCA jacks and possibly somehow (do not know if its possible) add some sort of crossfader so you could switch from the left to right sound channel which would be pretty neat for live performances.

The Unit does a amazing job out of the box, makes the device SO MUCH LOUDER AND CLEARER than the original inbuilt speaker inside the gameboy, only downfall is that it does goes a bit distorted if you turn the volume to the max, but I am guessing thats the speaker itself which I might replace anyways to accomidate more room and better sound quality. Perfect for composing without headphones as people around you can clearly hear your music even before the distortion limit which I mention above. Will be using this for composing for now on.

Well lets start by showing you the device itself...
The Device is powered by 2 AA Batterys and features a on/off switch with a red LED which indicated when you have the device turned on, It fits rather snug, and I find it to be rather comfortable, maybe because it makes the gameboy as a whole a bit longer it would give you less handcramps or make it longer for handcramps to form as your hand is not curled as much.

After Reviewing the unit I think I will be able to add 2 RCA jacks at the bottom and then add a switch next to the power toggle which will switch it from "Pro sound and unmodded" which is a nice feature to have. bearing in mind your original headphone jack in the DMG would need to be pro sound modded for this to work. The crossfader idea will probably never happen though, I wouldnt know where to start and from my guesses there is not enough room to even make this happen, a cool idea... but one I will sadly not be able to acomplish...

In this thread I will post updates on projects I am doing such as circuit bending, mods and general DIY ect....

This thread is to save myself from clogging up the forum with loads of different threads with projects which I might not even finish, it also lets me have a lovely index with links to posts as to where you can find specific information and also so people can ask question if they feel the need to
