I've been getting a bit more geeky with my amiga the last few days, and I was looking through Sysinfo and noticed that my clock battery is dead. Or at least I think so. It says "CLOCK NOT FOUND".
Is it necessary to replace it?
What am I missing out on without one?
Perhaps I should take a look inside!
Akira, oh Commodore god, enlighten me!

I'm also a little confused on what the best option is for a ram expansion and fpu.
I'm looking to upgrade beyond my lowly 2mb chipram and i'm wondering what the cheapest, most powerful setup I can get.

Compress your reverb too!
It makes for finer volume tweaking.

Invest in some sort of disk hardware for your c64 and get tracking!
I reccomend 1541u, expensive yet portable!

I don't want to invade Goatslacker's thread, but I'm also looking for some stuff (not my own) to practice mixing and mastering on, so if Gaotslacker's busy you can PM me and I will have a go for you!

I've decided I'm gonna do a photo diary alongside with this. Should be fairly interesting I think!
I'm setting a very high standard for my work, and I hope others here do too big_smile

Do you know of any trackers or versions that are compatible with WB1.3?
Also, is there a way of showing hidden files on 1.3?

Does it have to specifically be deep house?
I have alot of disco/filtered house that you might be interested in, although iam hesitant to send it to you, secrets be secrets!
I'm using a c64, amiga, gameboy and opl3 to make this stuff, so it varies alot.

currently using opl3 big_smile

I dont know how she explains it to friends, but she enjoys it, and finds it interesting, especially my disko/french house stuff.
She wants to make amiga/xm music like tempest/grg with me. Good taste? big_smile

I have an A500 with ram upgrade, an A520 RF modulator, a sampler (need to test if it works still) and mouse, psu and gubbinz for you.
I can throw in disks with whatever software you might want as well, + a bunch of blanks to get rid of the headache that Akira's talking about.
40 English pounds plus postage if you want.

how about titling forums by their chip names.
after all, we make chipmusic, not console/computer name music don't we?

But then again, AY forums will be confusing sad

Are you talking about kickstart roms or disk images?
Have you tried any WHDLoad preinstalls? (http://kg.whdownload.com/kgwhd/)
