hmm that is strange. I would advise you to try it with game boy color as that's the only one I have really tested.

Also maybe youve changed something in the .ini file

Saves are in the nvram folder for example lsdj.nv

The vgm recording starts automatically for me. It creates a vgm file where the mess.exe is located. Try some game or a Snorpung demo for example

You have to put the bios file (gameboy.zip gbcolor.zip etc) into a roms/ subdirectory (like in mame)

The adapter lets defmon output:
-LSDJ sync signal
-nanoloop sync signal
-midi clock
-din sync
-clock signal with adjustable resolution from 24ppqn to 2ppqn for Korg Volcas, TE Pocket Operators, Arturia Microbrute, MI Anushri etc

It should also work with Prophet64

In my opinion if you go only for the trackers and not for demos I think that sd2iec is a good option. Especially since it's DIY friendly

I feel you man! I have a similiar situation in Poland.

I would suggest posting also on the MI forums and elektronauts. That's where I sell most of my musical gear.

PS: Dunno about the Nord but the price for the shruthi is a steal wink
