The Moon is a variety show that includes comedy, music, cartoons, videos, dance, clowns, comicbook artists, and other fun acts, with a storyline tying it all together. Every show is different and completely original. They try a lot of fun, strage, themes. Previous shows have taken place on an airplane, at a high school reunion, at a live game show taping, and at the end of the world.

The show on October 25 is the Halloween Special where they dress up as another show (last time, it was The Muppet Show). This year, The Moon is The Super Mario Brothers Super Show. The cast will all be in costume as Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Toad, and other Mushroom Kingdom favorites.

After recently learning that the Atari 2600 Joystick ports can be configured to be either input or output, I was able to get the Atari to control a Nintendo NES without out any major modifications.  In this case I configured one of the Atari joystick ports to be input and the other port to output.

In theory you should be able to connect the Atari 2600 to 8 separate devices at once, since there are 8 pins that you can control.

Possiblilties include:
Connect Atari to any other systems.
Sync 2 Atari 2600's to get 4 channels of audio.
Sync Atari w/ a NES to get 7 channels of audio.
Using Batsly Adams' algorithm that checks for the rising edge, can even use the Atari as a clock to sync multiple systems.

Koatl - It actually doesn't matter what the frequency is while recording.  Frequency and Drum Kit settings affect the playback of the loops.  If you record a loop with sample frequency at 100% and then later change the frequency to 25%, the loop will playback with the samples at 25%.  Maybe having a different sample frequency for each sample could be something added for future versions.

Glitch Militia - Yeah Im trying to get PAL versions of BEATBOX and NESK-1 going.  Once I get my hands on a PAL NES to test with then it should just be a matter of time.

SurfaceDragon - Yeah there was only enough memory for 16 samples.  If anyone would like a custom cart made with your own samples I can do that as well.  Just email me.

This cart is classic!  I have incorporated something very similar in the NESK-1.  Basically controller #3 lets you do what Super synth drum does, but without the looping options.  Another difference is that the NESK-1 offers 2 noise banks that you can use.

Woah, that was pretty wicked awesome. Do you have many left in stock or should I just grab it up before I even have the 4-player? I only have the standard set-up right now. Speaking of, if I did get it, which of the two devices for controllers would you recommend to go with it?

For the adapter  I recommend the four score because it does not need batteries like the satelite does.  For the controllers I would go with the original nes controllers.  There are less than 10 carts left at this time.  I am currently working on another project so it may be a while before another batch is made.

If anyone is interested, you can watch my set from mmny 2011 here:  http://www.youtube.com/playlist?p=PL284F458D5CFFA0C4
