There should be a third part, "As a label."

Oh gawd OP was from 2012. My bad.

Get in touch with Jordan. He's been using one for over a year now.

I would just like to say that I got piggy working easily on a Samsung Galaxy S5 running Lollipop.  Tossed the configuration files from the zip in the system folder and was good to go. HOWEVER, I got the black screen after sricing my goto config.xml file in the piggy folder. Why? I had a SCREEN MULTIPLE command in there. Everything was fine after I removed that line.

Looks like this release is free for a short time before the label nukes their entire back catalog. Go get it!

Yeah the case price blows. Ponoko is stupid expensive. Someone should make a 3D printable one.

OK then, putting things in perspective, I've been using Paypal since you were 5 and have never had any real issues. There was one time I sold something on eBay and they held my money until the tracking # showed it was delivered, but nothing like account hacks or whatever. Go for it.

Linux in the works? This would be perfect on a raspberry pi!

If your online, technical financial prowess is less than that of your mother's, you should probably not have your own Paypal account yet.

Volcas, even if hacked with MIDI out jacks, don't send clock out the MIDI: http://media.aadl.org/files/catalog_gui … _chart.pdf

Unless you hack it, MIDI Bastl can't receive pulse, only send it. It can convert MIDI to pulse, but not the other way around. Prof's suggestion of using something else as a mock master isn't going to work either because since you don't want to use MIDI to sync LSDJ, LSDJ HAS to be your master. Basically, there's no way to do what you want to do with the gear you want to use.

Dang, why you no get in touch to put this out on hexawe!?!?

Sorry guys, I shouldn't have listed those GameBoys and backlight kits. It's not really worth my time to sell them on their own, escpecially if you want me to ship internationally. I was thinking if someone was buying the Bleepbleep cart or some other stuff, I'd sell them as well. Maybe I'll come up with some bundle price but for now, I'm taking them off the first post.

As for the Bleepbloop cart, that price was a total joke and I'm glad someone noticed it! Make me an offer if you're interested!

Added lots of stuff. See first post.

I have a feeling — and I haven't even heard the track so I'm speaking in general terms — that this kind of thing hits a nerve because it's an instance of a musical idiom being treated as worthy of examination only when person X with pedigree Y does it, and not otherwise. In cases where the material in question is perhaps less sophisticated than other music that might've been been a better example of the form, had it had the same benefit of an esteemed pedigree — well that only exacerbates the bad taste in peoples' mouths.

This is all a knowing oversimplification; I know Pitchfork has touched on chipmusic from time to time in the past. But it's hard to escape the sense that there's some lazy journalism at work when the form is presented so selectively. "Member of Known Quantity Band X wrote his EP on a Gameboy, Wow" is in some ways the new "Mario at a rave."

Or maybe it's just sour grapes! I don't know.

As usual, Bit Shifter steps up and drops wisdom. I think you're onto something, mang. Personally, I get pissed every time some sucky n00b who may have spammed his/herself enough is asked to be on X compilation or play Y high-profile show or whatever and no one ever asks me, even though my stuff totally rules. So, every time that sucky n00b is famous and gets major press, the whole "scene" loses its shit. Except me, because I'm already too jaded to care.
