Word is you can't change em on the fly, though (like, automate jumping and stuff). This true?

Who thinks bleo is gonna swing the ban hammer, all while giving zero fucks?

8bc put its music section up front, so a lot of people came to browse the music, and then later jumped into the forum, but stayed around for the music foremost.

Very true. And I attribute this to the general lack of free hosting/file sharing/social media at the time. There was no Bandcamp, Soundcloud or any of that back then so the best place to post and consume chip music was definitely 8bc.

windows seems to handle midi fine as well, though some people have reported some latency issues but that would likely vary a lot based on your setup

The problem has always been audio and midi sync, if you want to do midi only its fine imo.

I've never been able to get a consistent clock sync out from windows piggy. And the Pigfather confirms this:

Finally, XIK may have taken my money and run for the MIDINES way back when, but almost a decade later I'll finally have a proper substitute!

Well, the 2A03 emulation in the current version of Chipsounds is already a proper substitute!

And for the haters that think looped samples of real hardware sounds realer, it doesn't. This emulation is so spot on, even a scope can't tell the difference.

[FML] I'm going to be way out of town July 29 and I would have setup a Noisewave/Shrimps show in a second if I was around.[/FML]

What version of Windows? I've been using it for years in Windows 7 without any issues.

A dear friend and forum member, XC3N, has that Space Echo and loves it.

Me, I have a Donner Yellow Fall analog delay and I love it. $34. Legit analog (I've opened it up and seen the chip). Haven't sent electronics thru it, but it sounds great on my guitar pedalboard and self-oscillates nicely. Also, it's super tiny and built tough.

great, now i looked at their site and feel the urge to hoard pedals rising... maybe it'll be a good thing that i never sold off my 2nd pedal board

I bought the Zoom MS-50G and it killed my pedal GAS dead. It's my "flair" pedal. My pedalboard real estate is scarce and I don't need a phaser or reverse delay or bit crusher enough to justify giving any of those a slot, but all of them together in the spot where my tuner used to be? Yup.

it's eating up too many phrases

Make one phrase/chain with one KILL or VOLM 0000, stick it on all the channels you want "muted." I can't see how a SOLO command would be any more efficient than that.

I can tell you your chances of getting a solo command are pretty close to 0. I would say absolute zero, but I could see some scenario where you pay Marc like $500 and he does it.

I don't know enough about the Open2X firmware to say either way, but I'm pretty sure you don't want to switch firmware at this point because you run a risk of bricking the gp2x if things don't work. Honestly, if you're not using MIDI, you really shouldn't be using the gp2x for piggy. PSP is a much better option: better processor, cheaper, better screen and ergodynamics, sleep mode, wayyyyyy better battery life.

OK so we know that your hardware is working and we also know that other people have used the latest ghetto on the F100 (but without MIDI). My guess is that you're running that custom firmware and launching piggy with menu2x. Either the firmware or menu2x is probably causing this weirdness.
