I like the raw sounds so I did a light mix. I did a separate mix for each track, recording channels separately, anyway I ended following this scheme: pu1 (almost kick, toms) eq (low range) and little compression pu2 (fx and leads) reverb wav (guitarlikesynth, kick, bass, samples) eq (middle range) + compression (I think I need to do custom mix for evry instrument but I'm lazy at the moment) noi (drums) nothing here on the first track I lightly panned pu2 on left and wav on right
I liked the ending result but I'd like to know how it sounds on different soucers so I uploaded it here.
Hi nitro, I will be very pleased (and the community too I think) if it would be possible to send midiout from lsdj through the nl usb-midi connector. there is a custum lsdj version that already send midi out so I think is necessary only to program the PC side. thank you very much for your great work!
this thread is like the bad part of 8bc i listened your ep and dunno who can say you used zef instruments cause these instruments are hardly recognizable in your tracks. Putting random notes here and there is not a form of art. my cc are: stop whining, clear your cartridge and restart writing music, release next ep in 2018 and maybe it will be cacophonic in a right way. OR you could go in the shower and wait 4 jack to write music for you, then put the screamo in a separate file. Sorry but this thread is really embarassing.
i've tried to learn music theory but i've found that comprehend how music and notes works is better. it's important to comprehend: - what make a note sound good is not the note itself but the interval (distance in semitones) between the notes around - the feeling of a scale is given by the sequence of distances between notes - not every but many scales could be played only whit white keys on a piano, depending on which root note you are starting. modal scales are done in this way. - A minor scale is the relative minor of C major scale, which means that they share the same notes. this is true for evry modal scale, phrygian G is relative to C magior and so on... - black keys are scales too, yeah, pentatonic. - trackers have a fabolous function that not evry intrument have: transpose - rhythm affects the feeling of the music - silence is good - if it sounds good you could break all the rules.
