Come see FlashHeart (a band featuring Natty and Popstar) at a gallery opening in Jersey City. It's at a wonderful DIY space with cheap booze and there's a Barcade a few blocks away for pre/post-gig drinking and game-playing.

This is a show in front of a non-chip audience and we'd love it if you all came out to support us and show them how we party.

New Yorkers: If you're badass enough to travel all the way to Philly for 8Static there's no good reason not to take a half-hour subway ride to Jersey City, right? Let's do this!

Little, Big and friends at "The TARDIS Bar" -- a nerd paradise with delights for the eyes and the ears. Chiptunes playboy Natty fronts FlashHeart, synthrocker Social Repose joins us from DC, and the asymmetric pop of Little,Big rounds out the evening.

Chipmusic.org should really change their name.  I've been making chipmusic for almost a year now and I wouldn't want any of my fans to get confused.

This perfectly-constructed analogy has really smashed my original point to pieces. I guess we'll just have to change our group's name to something like 8 Bit Collective or True Chip Til Death.

It doesn't really matter. At this point I don't feel like throwing parties, DJing at shows, or even attending most events. People can call themselves whatever they like. I mean, look at all the people out there named "Dave." http://www.hulu.com/watch/173712/kids-i … ves-i-know

If you need me I'll be in the Neutral Zone.

man, i've played the official blip festival after party, and i've never heard of noise channel. i thought it was just 'the blip after party'.

You were too busy rocking the party to notice.

This discussion is entirely stupid, boring, and pointless.

Agreed.

To be honest, I don't really care what they call themselves. I'm bored already.

Yeah, I guess I'm just a cynical curmudgeon these days.

Oh! You guys have an Anime & Manga group on the site. Never mind my previous negativity. I'm sorry I ever doubted your site's chip music credentials.

Still a bit annoyed that the site is called noisechannel although our own Noise Channel DJ/ promotion group has been a recognized presence on the New York chip music scene for several years. We've been DJing chip shows and putting on the official Blip Festival afterparty since 2007. We've had both weekly and monthly DJ residencies in the past at bars, lounges, and clubs, and we've organized many chip music concerts at various venues, to say nothing of house parties, loft parties and basement gigs. Can't wait for all the newcomers to Blip Festival to think that you guys are organizing the parties (Considering that every year the following sentence  appears: "Noise Channel presents the Blip Festival After Party.") I guess this is all our fault for not buying a domain name.

Sorry, I seem to have bought some very sour grapes at the greengrocer.

Not that anything in the chip music scene really matters or is interesting any more.

Noise Channel is the name of the official Blip Festival After Party organizers/DJ team. Has been since 2007.

So - letter writing campaign?
Let's tell Mr. Meisel how ungentlemanly malicious litigation is.

Oh. My. God. I love that house. What a dream. I want to be Mr. Maisel's friend just so I can get invited to his parties.
