the *buntus are based on Debian.  Also, I am pretty sure if something works on one distro it will work on other distros (just maybe not packaged already, or available in all repos).  What is it specifically you want that is "Debian only"?

WINE is like a band-aid fix, and rarely works for me for anything but the most basic stuff.  I somehow managed to get STO to work, but the frame rate was so low for me it was unplayable.  If you need XP or whatever you can run a VM or dual boot.

May I ask why you want a thin client instead of an older laptop or something along the lines of a Raspberry Pi?  I am not criticizing, just curious.

I have never worked hands on with a thin client (I have had them in hand...), but would assume you should be fine doing anything that isn't resource hungry.

I agree with The Silph Scope, Debian should be good to poke around with.

Sorry you are having such a hard time moving this thing.  It surprises me, as this thing is awesome.

Good shit.  I like the balance you got with painting just a little.

This reminds me of some ideas I wanted to try out.  I don't think I will be doing many mods for the next year or so (too many Game Boys that I don't want to part with...plus I NEED those kitsch LCDs), but I would like to get back around to it.  I will most likely get Teh D3th St4r to paint it if he can, since we have already discussed it a little, and my painting skills suck.

/me grabs a hammer

I am much the same with lyrics, typically.  The voice is just another instrument.  This and my enjoyment of a wide variety of music, including a lot of traditional stuff from around the world, has been of benefit to me when I have traveled, since it allowed me to enjoy stuff that was around me.  Sometimes the local stuff was not appealing to others who were with me, and my appreciation seemed to only reinforce their view of my eccentricity.  I just like what I like, and I don't care much what others think of me or my tastes.  I do try to tone it down in certain places, or around certain people (children, for example).

Edit: The above isn't limited to music so "stuff" can include many things.  Another great example is food.  I love food.

I have never given NSBM a listen, but I have heard others say things along the lines of what you did.  I suppose it isn't a bad thing to stop listening to music that you like the sound of but disagree with the content of.  There are some who think that entertainment can be used to influence beliefs and such.

Just to clarify, I meant the music.  Yes, lyrics are a part of that, but...

I don't follow or involve myself with the beliefs of music I listen to, and this is funny because some of the musicians do include a lot of it in their songs, and some that I frequently listen to are at opposite extreme ends of the spectrum (if we look at it 2 dimensionally).  I didn't mean to imply anything or start an ideological discussion, so I am sorry for that.

I have seen a couple pics of him in sunglasses.  There are a few musicians who have incorporated sunglasses as a part of their look.

Maybe they are your mask.  Are you a fan?

I have a number in my head, and I am hoping it is close to the price for these.  If it is much higher I may have to buy a few over time.

I guess I missed out.

This beats the hell out of my coloring book style method I usually use, with guessing of approximate colors.

I don't think I have a serial cable anymore, but I have been using audio cables.  I still haven't had time to do more than look at my //e rig in the other room.  I have a few projects I am trying to finish up over the next few days, so I might not get to play with stitch until next weekend.  Most of the music I do isn't quite what most people mean by that word.  Some interesting sounds are good enough for me.  If I manage to get that out of it I will be happy for now, and it will be a start for me.

How do you have your GS set up?

I hate most spiders, but tarantulas don't really bother me.  I found one when I was a kid and brought it inside for a couple weeks.  Once I noticed it wasn't doing so great I let it go.

I don't imagine breeding roaches to be that difficult, since they seem to do pretty good with minimal care in many places.  Do you just give them food, water and places to hide?  Can the tarantulas eat them?

The Super 8 doesn't seem like it is intended for those with a low_budget.  I figured an actual NES would be best for keeping it cheap and fully compatible, which is why I asked about the Yobo.

Technical stuff aside, I just want to see you playing games on the finished product.  Even better if it is in the middle of nowhere.

pun?

if you give it a go share thoughts, and maybe a sample track.  I am no good with trackers, but i really need to learn since they are available for so many of the stuff I want to use for music.

"stitch is a 4 channel 1-bit music tracker for the Apple II."

I haven't messed with it yet.  Maybe if I have time this week, or when my CFFA3000 gets here next week.
