oh speaking of autechre: the new release (exai) is boring as hell again. Move of ten, oversteps, untilted, draft 7.30, they're all equally annoying imo and don't add anything fresh.

The phillips module looks like a weird little beast. Very early (OPL?) FM chip with Speech synthesis and a crunchy sampler and built in software. How much of a pain in the arse is it to work with Julian?

Tunes are amazing of course!

You're right David, the music module is referred to as OPL,
a precursor of the OL2 etc. 16 custom voices that you preprogram,
Built in midi in/out/thru, ext mike in/built in mike and a keyboard connector.
It's a 2 operator FM Cartridge with AM as well.
I used this in combination with the pana amusement cartridge (commonly
known as the fm-pac). It's also a 2 op cheaper version of the music module,
but only allows you to make 1 custom voice. The msx then plays back the mods
simultaneously on both cartridges, and per channel you can set wether or not fmpac,
Musicmodule or noth should be used ( though fmpac can only be used on 6 channels,
music module has 9).
I'd say it's fairly easy, the tracker i use is easy despite some annoying shortcomings
like sacrificing 1 position for an operation, lack of ticks etc but hey...
I should still try oracle as a tracker, it can use fuckloads of channels and squeeze
the most out of the music module.

hmm... it looks wireless tongue it isn't.... thanks y' all smile

drmsx, daria, hackurl

but yeah... reminds me of this other super annoying 1 dimensional series, that IT crowd. I was surprised seeing a Chris Ware (if I remember that one correctly) and a Dave Cooper figurine ( http://www.modpop.se/prodpics/40_large1.jpg ) and I thought wow ! That's pretty neat. Of course in no way did the series match up with it. Some set dresser is asked to buy nerdy stuff, he goes into a comic store and picks some stuff not knowing what the fuck it is et voila: props.
All that aside: cool cameo, though I would have liked it more if Ron Swanson would wear it.

if only the series was as awesome as the label they're flirting with...
