Anamanaguchi is how I found out. They posted it on their Facebook saying specifically, Disney stole our song. They also pointed out that Disney started moderating their page.

^yup. All of that.
I do my best writing late night/early morning. Kinda messes up my sleeping schedule tho. I use my phone to record stuff when I'm out. Also I have a piano app that helps me visualize things in my head.
And yeah, covers can really help take your mind off of your music while still creating music that is essentially yours.

Often when I'm in a funk, inspiration-wise) I give myself limitations or guidelines and do a long improv session on piano. That or just thinking of some different type of theory stuff. Say, starting a song in a minor key on the VII and doing a progression like maybe | VI | V | i | VII | or different types of rhythm.

I dunno, those personally help me.

Now what if I was to take the original song and put it in a minor key? Is that stretching it too far?

I'm encouraging experimentalism smile

Okay cool. It'll be nifty because everything's reversed. Normally the verse is major chords and it's chorus is in minors but now my verse is in minor and the chorus has some fitting major accompaniment. Also it's got a 4/4 swing beat instead of that boring 3/4 waltz.

Okay. that's the best looking dmg I've ever seen. Amazing work.

That backplate is beautiful. I've never seen the back of a dmg look so good.

You win.<3
