Vex, that is some nice detail work!

Why the fuck am I reading every page of this. . .

Also, I'd like to see more LSDJ combinations like what I do. [ 2xlsdj & arduinoboy controlling drum machines, samplers, synths, piano, effects, etc. ] but less the whole people just syncing it to ableton and more physical hardware. I mean, fuck, look at all that shit my arduinoboy is controlling at once. It's a newer aspect of gameboy tracking. It's interesting writing drum patterns with almost the same limitations as writing phrases in LSDJ. Granted there are ways to get more, but it's another aspect of a limitation. Maybe it's just because I'm so bored with people's post editing, but if I can't do it to my song live with my equipment, I won't record it. Personally, this is why I still mostly use LSDJ. It's something that sets me apart and I hear a lot of LSDJ users say they didn't even know they could get into stuff like this. . . Kinda sad.

tl;dr: there needs to be more of an expansion from "traditional" LSDJ use. Add some kazoo.

To those artists who are moving forward, awesome. You know who you are. A lot of people have contacted me with new projects that combine other things with chipmusic. So look out for some really interesting ideas. omg chippunk yus

My first live (non webshow) performance was for about 12 people here in Sacramento. It was the first chipshow anyone's ever known about here, so the number seems about right considering it wasn't really advertised. . . I remember chugging down beer because the bottles kept foaming and I didn't want any of my equipment getting wet. I was completely into my music, not caring how many people were there or not. Sadly, no video, but I think I rocked it pretty hard. Here's a pic:

I ended up buying that mixer off of one of the other artists later. The one I was using was on the other side.

I'll be there with a bucket for when i drool and cry tears of joy.

Hey man, I'll do Eos (Dawn) if ya like (I'd quite like to give it a shot), if you could email me the .sav pls!!

Oh yeah I forgot to mention! All the .savs are with the album when you download it from my bandcamp. It's free. If it would still be easier, Andrew, I can send them to you.

HEYO

So I've talked about the idea of a remix album for of Atoms and Stardust for some time now, after having people say they've wanted to do some remixes of tracks. So I did some gauging on different sites and got a lot of responses from artists who wanted to contribute. So I'm finally including cm.o in this.

Everyone wanting to/doing a remix for the "of Atoms and Stardust" remix album: the deadline for submitting your remix is [ March 24th ]. Artists may do multiple tracks of any style or genre and medium. I will be including, on the album, updated versions of the original tracks with my full setup and possibly a couple remixes/covers of my own! smile The LSDJ .savs and kits are packaged with the album when you download it from my bandcamp. If you need stems, I'll be happy to record them for you.

The track should be a wav file and does not need to be mastered. I am commissioning Narayan Choudury [ s.p.r.y. ] to do mastering to make everything around the same levels. He is very capable of this [ see the BRKfest live album ] and your track will be in good hands.

I am also taking ideas for both titles for the album and artwork ideas.
Check in with me whenever is possible just so I know how many tracks to be expecting.

[ I will be updating this list of artists who have expressed interest, i know i'm forgetting some ]
Bitman - Aphelion [×]
Aeros - Perihelion
Parallelis - Ellipse [×]
S.P.R.Y. - Helios [×]
Storm Blooper - Selene
Fraktal - Nebula
Squaretherapy - Helios
Dsv101 - New Cosmos
Cooshinator - Helios
Whitely -
My Life Is Pixels - Aphelion
Guardia - Nebula [×]
MegaFlare - Aphelion [×]
Decktonic - Perihelion [×]
Russellian - Eos or Perihelion
AndrewKilpatrick - Eos
Dire Hit - Ellipse or Eos

Any questions and quarrys are welcome. :]

I backed up my save, and loaded it on bgb. I loaded a different project, and this happened, there was a color palette that isn't normally available, and when I scrolled through them, a LOT of new color palettes showed up, most with garbage text alongside them, some unusable because of the colors (Like the last one). Pretty cool, since otherwise my .sav functioned perfectly.

This happened to me recently when loading an arduinoboy lsdj.sav onto a normal lsdj rom. Here's some of my favs:

I also did a video of how cool it looks scrolling through them really fast but it's only on my Facebook.

I miss being able to use the term "zan-zan-zawa-butthurt". Needed to leave the "butt" in his new name.
