yea behringer makes cheap stuff, which will work 100% fine for lo-fi jams anyway... I'm assuming live use? don't spend too much, you can find something awesome for less than $150 if you stalk craigslist or summat. if it is a mixer for studio on which to mix your recordings, you'll want to spend more on something that is not behringer but that's a whole new realm of poop

your bass exploded his phone, what an asshole

I don't mean to sound a dick by laughing, I just can't help but look back at all the dirty ass tours I've done all over the US in barely-working vehicles and all the thousands of dollars of my own money I've spent playing music over the last 8 years or so.

That being said, let me know if you want to play in Nashville sometime. We'll treat you right and make some party.

Sup guys, I have a community-related web project I'm about to start, but with minimal/no knowledge of coding and maintaing the backend of things, so I was wondering if there were any hot dudezzz or chickzzz that would be interested in donating some time to this in the near future to help me get it set up all proper, and possibly stick around to help moderate and/or update as needed, or at least be able to pop in from time to time to make sure I'm not breaking anything.

please email me at [email protected], no deadline, still in the brainstorming stage. party.

Remember all those old video game systems you used to play, now sitting in your closet/attic/parent's closet/attic? Remember when you decided to be all cool and retro and hook them up to your tv again to relive the glory days? Remember on Friday May 28, 2010 when you saw 4 people each performing new and original music with the very same consoles? Well you better START REMEMBERING.

That's right, MAY TWENTY8BIT is upon us. Hailing from the faraway lands of New England, Oxygenstar, Facundo, and Active Knowledge are making their way to Nashville to melt minds and explode faces, armed with 20-year-old gaming consoles and a burning desire to party with each and every one of us. Joining them in The Explosioning is Nashville 8bit overlord Rainbowdragoneyes to complete a deadly lineup you'll have to see to believe. BELIEVE.

$5 a head (ask about our group discount if you are a hydra or you have more than one head), music will commence at 8pm. BYOB, but please don't B stupid.

If you don't want fun, stay the fuck away.

OXYGENSTAR (CT) > OxygenStar creates music by all means necessary. His live sets can include drums, various electronics, the original Nintendo Entertainment System, old 90's MS-DOS computers, guitars, keyboards, a gigantic muppet afro, all of the above, none of the above, you name it. A star of the insular chiptune community "chipmusic.org," his latest release "Thy Name is Adventure" is available on Cassette and digital download.

ACTIVE KNOWLEDGE (MASS)> “It’s not so much the preservation of youth, as the celebration of it,” says Chris Mahoney, better known in creative circles as Active Knowledge. Firing notes through an original Nintendo Entertainment System, the Active Knowledge mixes vintage video game sounds with synchronized glitchy, spastic visuals. The idea is unadulterated fun, with a focus on the unadult. Active Knowledge’s debut album “Pyramid Neon” is available to download for free on his site.

Here's the scenario: I have video on an ipod touch, hooked up to a projector. Is there a way, probs via bluetooth (or any other means) that I could start/stop this video from my laptop across the room? I have a bet going with myself that this is possible. I have a feeling I'm going to win. Prove me right!!!

forgot to mention but I'm on a macbook running OS X 10.4
