EPIC FAIL! If you look closely around 0:43, you'll see one step that was just excellent and not fantastic! and then a few more around 2:08 and later. I mean, if you can't make a 2000+ combo of ONLY fantastic, you clearly shouldn't be playing!

Yeah, especially in the sub-300 BPM range.

It'll be easy to use for people who are used to LGPT!

Fuck, I remember my Palm days. I really wish Palm hadn't died.

I got one that sounds fine. Gimme a sec to upload.

EDIT:

I just set your wav file to 48khz before exporting.

What's the sample rate? I had this issue with certain songs with LAME. Anything at 44.1khz would sound fine but songs at 48khz would manifest the exact issues you currently have.

Android app would be awesome, but a website would probably be best since it wouldn't be exclusive to any given platform.

Now we just need to find a way to go the other way. Make good looking pixel art from a high res image. Imagine how cool that would be.

I think the sdks for either come with some kind of emulation, but I doubt they can run regular app store/market downloads, because that would essentially be piracy

I know the android emulator can, but you need to buy the app first in the first place. It's not really piracy, it's just using an app you payed for on another platform.

I used this way long ago. It's got a strange layout, but once you get used to it it's not terrible. Does lack some stuff I now find important but it's not all bad.

I find that a lot of chips require much heavier EQing than traditional sounds. Personally I rarely record channels individually. Usually I'll do some EQing, multiband compression and a dab of reverb. That's usually enough to make it pop without taking away from the inherent quality of the chip.

Your easiest solution is to just clip the internal speaker, would that do?

: O

I'll take a picture of mine tomorrow. It has this awesome detachable blast shield that you can fold down over the screen. It clips onto those buttons you can see on the top left and right of the case.
