It does remind me of something I'd hear in an anime. I agree that it'd be better with some variation and melody.
My favorite part is reading through the track list with the track numbers included as part of the track title.
One Wood Grain
Two Billion Woolongz.
Three voice tests.
Four Tango for Mars
Five Venus Sunset
Six Tokyo Space Signs (Re-Mastered)
Seven Children, Pets, & Sassy Women
and Eight Knockin' in Heaven's Studio
Took me back to my Sesame Street days...
Oh also, what does this have to do with chipmusic?
The soundfont "General User GS" has good generic drum sounds. As for samples, I enjoy the Hydrogen Drumkits very much. I don't know about their usage for posthardcore music, since I don't do that, but if anybody else has used them, they can weigh in. I really like the reggae and 626 samples in that collection.
/There's only one "P" in "chipo", so is it pronounced "cheep-oh"?
I liked the 80's-90's feel of the titles. Good stuff. Bonus points for being VHS-ish.
I enjoyed it. I learned about the practial usses of the vol column and the z command. And I found myself wanting to jump into the conversation. The dichotomy between the guy on the left and the guy on the right was interesting. Reminded me of the different types of students.
I've often wondered if there was anybody else who had piles of rejected chains. It makes me feel better about rejecting them.
I agree with n00bstar.
The only other criticism I can give is that it could be nice to doe some research and add a little pop-up text box for the questions that were left unanswered. Then again, leaving them unanswered leaves more to be addressed in future videos.
What I most enjoyed was the explaining of the creative process rather than the technical stuff.
I thought this was going to be about the long-lost 6th Marx brother...
As far as original compositions go, Fearofdark's "an age of planetary pride" has a classical bent to it, and it ends with a pretty nice fugue (I think its a fugue)
Is the animation/automation in the videos done using real nes program? That was a nice touch. It'd theoreticallymake a cool dvd feaurette
I've been rocking this for awhile. Good stuff. I was surprised at how atypical some of the tunes were. No mozart
Good stuff.
Interesting. non-vinyl records... Hm. Do people do that? People always say "there's just something special about the sound of vinyl". Doesn't not using vinyl defeat the purpose?

Before you ask, i rename'd them, same folder and stuff - Everything was right.
I just double-checked mine and they're different.
Make sure you try loading a new song with them too; as the first song to pop up is probably just the latent memory (working memory) and it's probably the same.
You know, this might be the solution to the problem that some people occasionally have when trying to swap sav files and it doesn't seem to work. Hmm..
Wow, I barely even knew this was coming, and had no idea what to expect.
This album really pulled me out of the "I'm listening to Gameboy music" mindset, with no effort on my part. This is going to be on constant for months at least. It just means so many things to me. It was really fun seeing everybody shouting their impressions in the irc at the listening party, too. The winds of yogurt blaster is a winning combination.
15 minutes oh boy. Bumping this because I've missed too many of these things because of no reminders.
Made my borogoves all mimsy. Gimblin' in the wabe, yo. I love me some noisy noise-channel. I like the subtle baroque flavorings, too.

I actually downloaded the .xm one the day that it was uploaded. I found it funny that cm.o does not have a player that can play .xm files, yet allows them to be uploaded.
The one's that don't work at all have uploaders whose names do not comply with the web address syntax, so it breaks the system.
My dad's A Capella group used to practice at our house when I was a child, I had piano lessons from my grandmother, and then gleaned any other knowledge from wherever I could: choir, hymnals, radio, music books, internet, analyzing midi files, experimenting with various things (Acid Xpress, sndrec.exe [lol], Yamaha keyboard with 5 track recording) etc, etc.
In the ears of one who likes them enough to listen more than once. And maybe in a short-film or something. Also, as the ringtone of a random stranger I pass on the street.

Oh, and last but not least, sampled in a pop song produced by Timb-*shot*. (oh, somebody already made that joke?)
this is a very thought-provoking question. I wonder if my answer will have changed in two years.
