I've heard defecating on stage is a sure-fire way to Chiptune popularity. Ask GG Allin.
Fixed that one for you.

I've just been listening to the stuff that's new and popular on CM... I just finished listening to Orbital by Sombreronegro, I enjoyed it.
A little bit of Virt never hurt anybody, either...

Actually my rant was somewhat invalidated by the number of helpful posts in the time it took me to write that.
Love you guys, carry on!
Invalidated or not, there's no arguing about how it's more productive to help someone than to just be a dick.
That being said, if either of you dive into famitracker, let me know. If I can't explain or show it to you, I can show you where to find examples.

Do you disagree, as a corporation, that the streams you provide aren't directed toward commercial advantage or private monetary compensation? How else do you fulfill your obligations to your shareholders?
That actually all depends on the amount of traffic they receive on their website and other forms of accessing their free streaming service...
For example, a commercial on occasion will be used by a large user-base, allowing them to charge $X.YZ per commercial. Repeat this three times every hour, you have 72 commercials. Charging even one dollar per commercial per customer to a constant customer reach of 1000 people seventy-two times a day is $72,000 per day. That's a lot of money from just air-commercials alone (and, mind you, an arbitrary and generous example.) That doesn't count website traffic or service purchases.
Hypothetically, ad revenue alone could help support a crack team of three people in a small office with ten servers full of music year-round.
That, or I'm just tired and my drink hit me too quickly...

Me, my car, and nice things are definitely incompatible this week. On the bright side, I started a song because of it while waiting for AAA.

I'm setting a date to re-beat Secret of Mana and Earthbound on my SNES later this week after almost finishing them a few months ago... derp.
The two NES consoles I have need 72-pin connectors replaced, le blargh.
My DMG and two GBCs need... well, carts. I've been debating on getting into mods for them.
I have no clue where the balls my genesis disappeared to.
My roommate told me if I want to experiment into learning to make bleepbloops with his c64 I'd be welcomed to experiment...
Oh, and I found a parking ticket I hadn't paid in a few months. Took care of that. Derp.

But seriously, I'm psyched to be on tomorrow!
Also, you're pretty cool yourself, Decktonic. I need to get out to NY/NJ more often, all of you were pretty awesome.

You're within your right to specifically request it off of DI.FM and their affiliate's servers, yeah. It's not like you're telling them you want their money, you're just asking to be left out of their cool-kids-club of music to listen to.
As much as I want to go, "RAWR, IF IT AINT IN THE COMMUNITY OR PROVIDING ME AN IMMEDIATE BENEFIT, FUCK YOU AND THE COUCH YOU JUST BOUGHT;" I just can't. My argument is that having your name out there and played anywhere is still receiving the benefit of exposure to potential new fans and/or customers. it doesn't mean I wouldn't want a piece of the money they make, though.

Doesn't seem it... the music seems it's still available to listen for free, and the premium service is based on higher quality bitrates, commercial interruptions, and where they can listen to the stream (i.e. platform to listen to it on.)
That being said, if they specifically have channels or stations that can only be heard via purchasing said service, and your music comes up through those channels, that's in violation of your CC license. Otherwise they're in their legal standing.
tl;dr: dicks dicks dicks dicks dicks dicks.
Also, edited for grammar and stuff.

What slays me is that I've seen the name "Raptor-Kharlan" before and thought nothing of it, and by the time you guys brought it up I never made the connection. Go figure, huh?
