Well, then I'll have to leave it go... Sorry if it was ridicoulous for you, as I said, I don't know much about these things : P
By the way, I've read in another thread that according to the rules you should give a fixed price instead of asking... just so you know.

ah, sorry about that. i'll put a price on the original post. and no worries, you weren't being ridiculous, worth a try! but you can see how all this is worth more than the price of 5 beers, at least to someone (hopefully).

are you in USA? then postage will likely be double that, if not more. i'm in germany, so will keep any deal in EU else postage will be too high

$30? one SID chip costs about that. i'm offering a lot more than a SID chip!

yes, would sell for cash, make me an offer...

thanks DogTag, didn't mean to be rude about your GBC! But I think i'll hold out for something else, I would prefer something ready-to-go for music i.e. that doesn't need more money spent on it for software and/or mods

Now on Lemon64 too. Jellica, I loved your reply so much I quoted you in my post, hope that's ok

@Jellica> is it really like that here? Maybe I should haev posted this in Lemon
@DogTag> where's the thread, i'll take a look. Although it would probably be rather embarrassing to take a Pokemon themed GBC to a gig

still available, grab a bargain or offload something you don't want in exchange for something you DO want (i.e. another C64)

EDIT: i've heard the rules state I need to give a price. Well, that's a tough one, i was really hoping for a trade. But if I have to, i'll say 100 Euros plus postage. Thanks

---------------------------------

I have a (German, obviously) C64G for trade. I am less interested in selling it, but could be pursuaded. You can offer me anything you like as a trade, see below for more details.

It comes with the following:

1x C64G in tested fully working order. Serial# HB4 001059. Beige breadbin format, green power light
4x Joysticks (tested, working)
1x 1530 datassette Unit C2N (not tested, but in original box and I think it's unused, original owner had disk drive from the start)
1x 1541 disk drive *not working*
1x Star NL-10 dot matrix printer (not tested but includes cable)
New scart video cable for connection to modern TVs, and the original TV cable for older sets
A few different reset switches (not tested)
3x cartridges (Simons Basic, Omega Racer, Supergames - tested and working)
2 large boxes of copied disks (naughty naghty, this was from my brother in law, from whom I inherited the C64).
Box of blank disks
Original manuals for printer, C64, C64 basic, C2N and 1541 (note - all are in German)
Original C64 sports holdall (says "Commodore Computer" on the side, with logo, colour is same as C64 beige)

Now, the reason for parting with the C64 is that I got it with the intention of using it for C64 SID music. But I got lucky and now have a SammichSID to play with instead. This suits me better as it is smaller and I can bring it to gigs. As the disk drive isn't working (constantly tries to find data but reports that disk is not readable) I can't play my old favourite games on it, so I think this should go to a proper home.

As i'm interested in music, I would prefer to trade anything music-related, whether an old modded Gameboy with LSDJ, an old synth, drum machine, even a kids' toy I could utilise for circuit bending.Offer me  ANYTHING YOU LIKE! I'd also like to give it all to one person else i'll spend ages trying to sell small bits and pieces. I am in Germany, postage can be sorted out separately depending on what you have to offer.

Thanks, and if you need any photos please post what you want to see, no problem at all.

so if it's sync to pulse, there are loads of possibilities aside from a DAW. You could sync to drum machines, xoxbox, monotribe, synths. I'm not into NES but this thread caught my eye anyway, i like to see people developing solutions for using old hardware

if you can't find it then don't worry but thanks for trying. not sure a pic of the nes would be much use to me. i just got a reply from the seller on ebay, who said they don't post to countries where they've got bad feedback for deliveries going missing. might be to do with customs, but I still think that's stupidly tight of them. he said he could invoice me separately if i really wanted to but i think i'd rather find a seller in germany. however, there are only 2 types of screen on german ebay at the moment, so will carry on looking

thanks kvee, would love to see some photos

i sent an email to the seller, I couldn't find another one like that (without the frame) on ebay. hopefully he'll say it's no problem

I might test it with a C64C if you're interested.

yes please, that looks perfect. no annoying plastic bits round the edge, and correct resolution. can you let me know if it fills the whole screen or if there's a black border with C64? or post an image

thanks a lot for the info

i just found the thread I was looking for, it seems these cheap parking LCDs/headrest LCDs from Hong Kong really do work. Which is great, as they only cost £15-20.

http://chipmusic.org/forums/topic/6895/ … r-for-c64/

If anyone has experience of these, or particular recommendations then feel free to post and share the knowledge. I am especially interested in the 4.5" size or thereabouts. Screen resolution, x/y pixel count etc?

I would like to mount it on the case somehow. I was thinking of building it into the case, which requires some butchery of the C64 case. But if I can attach it somehow without damaging the C64 this would be preferable, so any advice on this would also be useful.

hi there, I am looking to get a small LCD display for my C64G. I've seen examples of parking monitors used, such as one I found here: http://r.ebay.com/JjLfKs They are really cheap and don't use much space. The question is, will this just plug in or are there extra cables required or anything else i'm not aware of?

thanks
