I'm looking to buy an EPROM programmer for experimenting with SNES/NES roms.

Does anyone have any recommendations for models or where to buy?

I have Win 8 64-bit running, but also have a 32-bit XP laptop; although I'd like to use 64-bit drivers if possible, it's not a deal-breaker.

I went to a jam recently downstairs in a pub. I had my guitar, effects and amp with me, all in cases.

Someone said to me as I struggled with my kit "hey, Mr DJ!".

I replied indignantly that I was a musician and I never played other people's records at public events.

Besides, DJ as an epithet reminds me of characters like this one:

Thinking about it, I visited Sofia in 1985 when I was a kid. This was when Bulgaria, as a communist country, couldn't get any of the new western consumer tech.

The thing the people were most desperate to get their hands on was the new ZX Spectrum home computer.
