For your snare you could try a table with some TSP modulation and/or some stereo panning. I almost always throw pans on snares. In the table: first tick is center pan, second tick is left, third tick is right, fourth tick is center, fifth tick is blank, and the sixth tick is a H05. The one thing a pan snare is bad for is a roll. They just don't sound all that great when they're 6 ticks apart.

I like a triangle WAV kick pitched at C5 with a table that has PEE(always funny to me) in the command column and a K command somewhere down the table.

Don't be afraid to try a pulse kick in PU1 if you have space for it. Again pitched at C5, but with a shape of E4 or E5. You can get a pretty smooth kick, but you can add some timbre by messing with TSP or S commands in the table. You can add grit using a VFx command, but it can get a little crunchy.

I hope I offered some sort of help. Let me know if any of that info helps 'cause I know it changed how my stuff sounds.

Yeah, this helps out a lot! Thanks a bunch man. I'm pretty stoked to write some more stuff~

Oh shit! I didn't realize who I was talking to; what up, Nursey?
I know we didn't get a chance to anything more than introduce ourselves at the Mario rave, but we should hang/collab soon dude.

That'd be sick! I know, I'm not the best person to talk to at loud events, my default tone is "really quiet."

Hey friends,

I've finished up this little do-dad today, that first song where lsdj's workflow finally clicks and everything makes sense. I dig the bassline, but my snare/kick combo sounds flat, any way I can give those more punch? or just general thoughts/comments/etc.

Thanks!

THIS IS THE LINK RIGHT HERE TO WHERE YOU CAN LISTEN TO THE SONG OKAY

you stole my idea of playing bass and lsdj and now i can't do it anymore

but srsly this is pretty sick~

Neat! I used gamemaker a couple years ago when I took a video game design class for my university. Good times.

When you press space to shoot, your character turns around to only shoot one direction. I had this problem, I forget what I did to fix it...or maybe it was something with the projectile not turning around...not helpful. Anyway.
Maybe some indication as to what button to press to advance the text? I was pushing a couple ones before I figured out what did it.

I like the art! It looks really clean, especially the flashing of the computer screen. I liked that for some reason.
It reminded me of Hotline Miami, nice work friend smile

Okay, so the anagram generator turned up some sweet results. I'm not going to tell you the keyword I used, but here are some from a single phrase:

Void Particle
A Lipid Vector (my fave, I'm kind of big)
Acrid Love Pit
Vocal Riptide

And, Clear Void, from a modified version of the keyword

I don't know anymore...

Void Particle sounds sick~

no problem. il check the font when ive got time to do so! approve of anyone getting into type design. guessing ur tool is fonstruct yahh?

I've been using BitFontMaker from this site which is basically the same thing. I remember a professor showing us fontstruct a couple years ago, it looks like fun! I never got around to using it much.

i can vouch for fontographer being good. I draw the vectors in illustrator and create the font using fontographer. i have heard people praising the vector drawing abiity in fontographer, and its fairly common knowledge that freehand beats the shite out of illustrator even.

I'll give this a try! Thanks~

I once played the role of a nurse and my friends from that community called me nursey, so...

Edited version is up! Its the same name as the previous for easy overwrite.
The bitmap font tool I used was web based, and is limited as to what I can edit, so I'm definitely going to learn how to use fontforge or something. I can imagine a Cyrillic-compatible bitmap font...
