It resonates at a high frequency which my cats are pretty sensitive too. Plus it looks intimidating

My cat hated my music, mostly because of the high frequencies. My new cats don't seem to care, although they freak out around tambourine sounds

Lander from Linde is one of my all time favorites - http://www.8bitpeoples.com/products/520406-linde-lander
as well as I am Still Breathing by little scale, which you can find on iimusic.net still.

i like my real name better

It doesn't need to be mixed or masted. I think if you did a little EQ, (just a tiny bit) it would really pop, but other than that, all I would do is compress then normalize or amplify. With there isn't much you'll get out of trying to mix something like this because there are only 4 sounds at a time and everything can be heard clear. From what I've done 80% of mixing is done while you are writing the song, if you get it sounding just right the way you like before you go into an audio editor, you are on the right track! and yes what infradead says about having a good enviroment is important, but also turn off any sound card audio enhancers, EQ's or things like that - get it to the bare bones, no effects sound.

it could be more dynamic. I liked what I heard though, I agree with monotron, very WMD-like

To be honest it reminds me of when I first started with famitracker, yes it's repetitive, such and such, on and on. I think if you stick with it, study other peoples work, (Such as some of the lovely 2A03 puritan people) and try to write similar things you can learn a lot and grow that way very quickly. I can link you up to my ftm works folder so you can see the kind of progression I went through (If you're interested in going through a hundred and twenty something silly ftms)

And don't be afraid to reach out to the artists you like, get to know people, ask them to look through your music. IRC is a good meeting place (Like #BotB) and can be very rewarding.
