the wav exporting *sounds* messy while it's going on, but the end result should sound fine.

hmm... so, it's not just me? that's good to know

BGB is pretty darn close.  I've tried vba and it sounded a bit off to my ears.  That was a year or two ago though.

Well, there are two versions of it... the standard vba and the modified vba (vba-m)... the last one sounded pretty good when it came to NL 2.5 demo, so I thought it might be the best when I started with LSDJ...

On the bright side, BGB .sav seems to be compatible with VBA, so I'll start with it.

Yup, it's RIN based. Cheapshot did a test with Vba-gx, though.

well, since this reply seemed to be kind of slow, its no longer useful.

Anyway, BGB? tried it once, but i gave up on it when exporting to wav, since it was too messy... and the output sounded glitchy (blame it on the old lappy).
But if it sounds good as you say, might as well give it another shot.

Explaining myself a little bit, despite owning a GBA, I do not own a LSDJ cart.

So far it wasn't a problem, since I was using vba to compose (and I was a begginer, so...).

But I have a gig in 2 weeks, and i heard that the real deal (DMG with lsdj) sounds different (a.k.a. way better!).

I found a post in the forum where cheapshot says lsdj on the wii sounds really good, which lead me to the question:

"should i use my wii to compose instead of my pc?"

PS: A friend is borrowing me his transfer cart for the gig, so all i have to do is copy the .sav there....

Yup, Nanoloop...
Actually, I started (with the demo; no 2.5 carts available and I'm somewhat reluctant to buy 1.6 sad) and made some tunes that resembled more a skrillex-like loop than anything else.

Nevertheless, Thanks... will improve for the next one, for sure! big_smile

Hey people! the name's Christian... and I'm pretty new to the whole chip scene... A friend introduced me to the genre when I attended a circuit bending workshop... and I immediatelly fell in love with it...

I'm a big fan of Indie rock, and I was aiming to form a chiprock/bitpop band to rock the local scene (so far, not big enough...), but I havent met a lot of people willing to join... *sighs*

Anyway, after that CB workshop I met a lot of people and I am currently in the process of becoming a part of a dubstep/moombahton oriented music collective, so my current style (chipstep or so...) is influenced by that, but I also plan on doing something "new-disco/electro funk".

Despite owning a pink gba, I do not own a flash card (waiting for the drag n derp), nor a NL 2.5 cart...

I was looking forward to buy NL, since I'm more of a "16 bit era kid", but I realized that, for me, NL worked more as a synth (and is quite pricey)... so I'm currently sticking to LSDJ on my trustful lappy and my wii.

Man, that was somewhat long...
