We are short of options on the GB. most trackers are still in dev or indefinitely paused (M4G, FAT, Chipsune). I believe NL 2.5 is the only product that's fully functional.
EDIT:
I've used m4g, and despite the flaws. I think it has potential. I would love to see it fully developed. Sadly, that isn't the case, since the guy who's making it seems to be M.I.A.
Nanoloop 2.5 is seriously great, but i think is rather limited. I've only used the DEMO version, but if i'm correct there's a limitation of 16 patterns per channel. That sucks, IMO.
Finally, Chipsune works fine, but it's limited to do what LSDJ does. It takes no advantage of the direct sound channels. It's still on development, so I would love to see this using the full potential of the GBA.

And 90% of the time i don't now what i'm doing in LSDJ. Dosn't matter, 'cause 90% of my whole day i don't know what i'm doing.

THIS.

ANyway, I ussually put the wav channel as kick drum and lead at the same time. PU1 becomes a Bass Inst and PU2 a Harm inst. I'm yet trying to figure how to use NOI as a wall of sound (like those in shoegaze).

Hey, a couple weeks ago I inherited a EMS cart from a friend, and it was working perfectly at the beggining. The problem began about a few days, when it got stuck on page 2 of the cart. It wouldn't go back to page 1 until I flashed it.
Now, all page 1 load is a blank screen, no matter what rom i put into it. Page 2 seems to be working fine, despite the ocassional "don't panic" LSDJ screen.

Is the page 1 lost forever?

PS: i did my search on bing, then google. No useful answers, sadly.

Hey man, your EP is awesome!. will buy it as soon as I get a credit card.

A Strato made for lefties? (or a normal Strato, if you're right handed.)

Jimmy Hendrix Style!

I know how to use it, but given the fact I have the attention span of a Zoo monkey, I haven't been able to create something more complex than a sample based drum-machine. Gimme a second to find the patch...

Nevermind, I think I erased it or it got lost inside the mess my HDD is...

The DMG may have the best sound available, but when you ask too much (Heavy Tables processing), it will just crash (so will the pocket). The GBC as they say is quite a good way to learn, and if you pro-sound it, the sound will not be too much of an issue.

Or you can simply say "DMG is too mainstream" and buy a classic GBA, like I did. You get a near-DMG sound without crashes.
Then again, most people complain about the button layout, but it works for me.

Got mine on a store that sells vintage toys...
I was aiming to buy a traslucent GBC and a Pokemon Yellow cart, but the GBC wouldn't work. The store guy spent five minutes, trying different carts on the GBC, without a result. Then he put the pkmn cart on a pink GBC, the cart wouldn't work either.

So he offered me a pink GBC with a PKMN blue cart (wasn't labeled, though)

Just when I was about to accept his offer, I noticed a translucent fuschia GBA on a corner, and asked too see it. I think the he got fed up with my presence, since he offered to give me the defective pkmn yellow cart as a gift if I bought the GBA.

Turns out, the cart contacts were dirty.

You know... I was hoping this would be more like those moments at "Pawn stars" when the expert comes.

Pocket sized galaxy sounds epic!

As I'm pretty new to the chipscene, probably my opinion doesn't weight that much (hell, I can't even listen at my tracks without shaking my head in dispair)... but may I say that you have a really refreshing sound.

One simply does not have a jazz thread without Bill Evans:

also... there was this place on Tales of Phantasia for the SNES where you could ask Sakuraba (the game composer, I think) to play a really cool piece.

Thanks a lot for your replies, guys!

I once added a Wii to my set, emulating MuddyGB through VBAGX and controlling it with a DDR pad.
While I played a keyboard along with LSDJ/DS-10.
It looked ridiculous, but it was amazing and everyone loved it.

That's an awesome idea!
It just came to my mind that If I use my wii for the gig, I could split the video signal. One goes to a small tv for me to use, and the second could go to the VJ's computer, so he could "glitch it" and use it... but that's just easier said than done.

honestly man, do what's easiest. the difference is so minute that you wont even notice it. If you like sitting at a desk and hitting away at a keyboard, use your computer. if you like sitting on your couch mastering through tv speakers, then use your wii.

really, man.

if that's so, then working on the day using the lappy and then pulling an all-nighter composing on the wii, while laying on the bed seems the way to go!

Bassicaly, as close as you will get to Super Smash Bros. on the GBA.
If you like RPG's, I recomend you:

Summon Night: Swordcraft Story. Pretty much one of the best games on the console. mixing RPG with fighting was just glorious!

Shining Soul II and Sword of Mana. both are great action-RPG's.

Onimusha Tactics. If you like Advance Wars or FF tactics.

And Baldur's Gate if, like me, you like more "western" RPG's. it's pretty much "Diablo goes GBA"

okay so ive been curious about something. i use my wii a lot, mainly due to how easy installing homebrew is, and was wondering kinda the same thing except not with gb emulators. im thinking that if the wii can emulate c64, atari ST, amiga, zx, and has a dosbox port can any of these run trackers and sound fairly accurate?

wouldn't know about it, but schism tracker is there. Being impulse tracker based, I would say is a good choice.
There's also wii linux, which might as well be useful, I guess.
