I am looking for a cheapo rythm machine, and thought about the Beats, but, from what I've seen, a lot of people seem to be trying to get rid of theirs.
What's wrong about this thing exactly?

This is somehow unrelated but here it goes: I tried playing Majora's Mask some time ago through emulation on a good android device, but you always got to a point where the game freeze... Has this issue been solved and N64 games are fully operative on any emulator?

Interesting analysis. However, I'd have liked to see more of the spectrum, rather than the signals in the time domain (not really meaningful).
