I'd also be interested in one coming to Spain for me as well. Maybe we could share shipping actually!

@thebitman That'd be great! I'll try to keep up with that!

I'm releasing a little three-song EP next week.  1xLSDJ material--this isn't the 2xLSDJ project I've been working on since June.  (Hopefully that will be out in January/February.)

Seriously looking forward to hearing both!

@ashimoke I'd like to hear about that too! O .O
@chipocrite Perfect! Thank you for your help : ) I'll grab a Monotribe very soon!

One question that crossed my mind:

To be able to play the Monotribe with a DMG, you'd need an extra DMG, and then to connect it all you need a DMG-07 and 2 DMG-04 right?

Nope, not necessarily. I do use a 2nd Game Boy linked to the "master" audio Game Boy via a link cable, yes. But you don't need anything beyond a link cable to do it that way. On the other hand, you could just use ONE Game Boy and set up your song so the click sound is panned to one side and the other instruments are all panned to the other channel, and then just send that one channel to the Monotribe, etc.  I seriously recommend reading Nitro's page in its entirety: http://blog.gg8.se/wordpress/2011/09/28 … k-no-midi/

Note this paragraph:

"If you have an appropriate left/right splitter cable, you can pan the sync instrument to the left and all other instruments to the right, to get both sound and sync out of one Gameboy. If any sound instrument is panned to the sync channel, the monotribe will start rushing."

I understand. But say you actually want one game boy doing all the musical work (you don't want to "waste" a channel with just the click) and the other with the click. In that case there's no other way beyond what I mentioned right?

EDIT: I re-read everything, now I think I got it better. Basically  with one link cable you can sync the two Game Boys, and on the Monotribe you'd plug the clicking game boy to the sync in. Then both Monotribe out and the master DMG will be plugged to whatever audio output you use. Is this the way? xD

What Arduino are you using? I know UNO is ready to use without the need of resistor or anything.

I don't exactly understood what you are looking for. I experimented with MIDI on my arduino UNO a while ago, and came with this little sketch:

https://dl.dropbox.com/u/56714160/Boton … uebas_.ino (sorry for the lack of comments)

I remember I could play 2 MIDI sounds with 2 different buttons. I don't know if that's what you are looking for : /

Precisely what I never figured out was how to use samples, and therefore make it sound like a drum machine. The most I got was some piano sounds through LoopBe if I remember well...
Sorry, but it was some months ago and I have a very bad memory

Ok, no more trolling. But it was kind of silly question.

Monotribe has no audio input so you cannot filter any other sounds. The main advantage is the possibility of keeping stuff in sync and/or external parameter control of (some) monotribe's knobs. And triggering it's notes / drums.

I know how the Monotribe works, I just wanted to know what can you do with LSDJ and monotribe at the same time. Does that mean that what you can do is actually just play both things in sync but separately?

You can make music with these.

I'm prety interested in using a Monotribe with LSDJ too, but I don't really get the point. What can you exactly do with both connected? Can you filter LSDJ through it?

Flying taco rules.

Why would power LED's voltage affect the screen in that way? If the voltage in the power LED was incorrect, it'll either damage the LED or just make it unable to light up, but that's independent from the functioning of the screen as far as I know.
Apart from that, I don't know if you changed the protective resistor of the LED when you changed it, but if you haven't, the voltage should be the same anyway...

Similar thing happened to me, and it seems to be a problem in the ribbon cable connecting to the screen. You must've done something in the process of installing the backlight that has damaged the ribbon cable, therefore the lines have appeared.

When I asked the same thing nobody came with any solution, and neither I found any when I looked over the web, I'm afraid.
