This site has a tight community of members that seem to play nice when it comes to the trading post, but no one wants my few-featured mixer. So.. I'm curious if anyone has any suggestions of other reliable electronics/sound equipment trading websites. I feel as though at one point or another I came across a forum discussion that made mention of a few reliable sites, but I wasn't looking for the information so I didn't retain it. If anyone could point me in a place to trade sound gear, I'd be stoked.

I'm on vacation in mexico and this has been the soundtrack. Its excellent and I'm looking forward to getting back to my rig to compose more. There's some stuff going on in these songs that make me want to explore new techniques and commands/effects. Keep blooping.

I had him resurrect an ebay.uk sale for me that was expired, he was very prompt in responding to my queries and requests. His internal sound mod never gave me trouble and he even threw in a replacement PIL screen with my order. I'd work with him again. Also not sure where the hate came from.

The whole setup is care of LOOMIS, and I honestly haven't looked inside yet, as I just got it and have been working on my own DMG mods. To my understanding its the v3 backlight from kitsch (could be wrong) and an internal line-out sound mod, as it uses the already present jack. To reiterate and to hopefully alleviate any more confusion, the backlight doesn't waver or dim, the sound works just fine, the battery indicator LED doesn't dim or waver, only the intensity of the LCD itself. It gets weak when music plays. Having just finished my own backlight and sound modding last night, I can say that this wavering/dimming only occurs on the DMG I haven't had my hands in.

Mincing words, yes, the LCD's contrast wavers. I suppose it doesn't dim as this could suggest a source of light is becoming weaker, where in fact there is none. Only a wavering LCD contrast.

Would this still be the issue with the LCD dimming, not the backlight?

The smart card for GB that kitsch and others sell.. I'm curious how the save feature works. Particularly how the space is used by different roms flashed to the card. If I have lsdj on it, and on the other half I have a GB game with save files, can I trust my lsdj songs to not disappear? Will it dynamically partition space, or.. how does that work? Anyone who can assure me that my songs will not be deleted as I fill my pokedex will earn a digital highfive.

So.. backlit screen, when buttons pressed or sound plays the LCD seems to dim. Really annoying when you're writing tunes. What might be causing this? This gameboy came into my hands sound modded and backlit, so I haven't had my hands inside of it. If anyone is familiar with this, let me know what helped you, or point me in a certain direction.

EDIT: Replacing with new batteries helped, but not much. Seems to still be drawing power in a weird way.

Right on. It'd be cool if someone had an extra working lcd pcb. Be green, ya know? Reduce, reuse.

Guess I messed up the ribbon cables in mine while backlighting. Super frustrating. Free or cheap is nice.

Edit: meant to post this in trading post.

Traded off to LOOMIS, who totally owns. Thanks big_smile

Have a Manchester United Football Club limited edition DMG-01 for trade. Great condition, missing gamelink port cover. Internal sound mod by DJ Transformer, maintaining original shell (which is the rare part, the guts can always be mixed up). Looking to trade for grey brick with blue backlight and internal soundmod. Located on west coast US.

EDIT: Maybe posters such as kitsch, thursday, etc with shops could weigh in on the viability of a trade like this.
