What is the difference between a 1/4 and 1/8 jack mod?

It looks beautiful though I wish you put a quarter inch jack instead of a 1/8

an EMS cart is quick and cheap enough, and the cart-battery replacements are like 2 bucks.
Also, I fucking love Wario Land 3.
Bought an EMS and now going to back it all up
Also, WHO FUCKING DOESN'T LOVE THAT GAME!?!

While moving for college I learned the horrible truth that my childhood saves aren't forever so I researched and found a solution (LSDJ and the whole scene in the process). Then, I came back to my hometown to find my Wario Land 3 died and yet my first game ever Red Version is still alive so you can see the urgency.
So My Question is: Now I own a mega memory card which is more ideal getting the save files from Original Cartridge to my Mac for emulation and preservation after the batteries die? Money Is a small issue or more that I don't want to spend 39+shipping then for DnD to come back in stock.
