Are you asking which drums to use or how to make samples?

I don't think he means either. The enquiry seems to be about whether he can use the lsdj kits, but just take a sample of each different sound they make and songs with them elsehow. Whether or not it's legal to take those sounds individually and sell them in a pack of chip samples.

Not sure about the legality myself, but if it seems sketchy, probably best not to bother.

That screen is perfect for something I've been working on! Thanks for sharing.

Don't worry about your intro - I think it's awesome.

As for the percussion, I don't think I can help. You could maybe do it with a second GB if it's super important. You'll have more versatility for everything else then too.

If you could find somewhere to play within an hours' drive of King's Lynn, it would be awesome, eg Norwich, or Peterborough. Be warned however, your audience will consist of me, and nobody else (as far as I know anyway).

Did the 80's showcase get recorded same as some of these other sets? would be cool to have a GROK day compilation, with just the showcase.

Depends on how much it costs to get from norfolk to portsmouth...

I like using heavy metal peddles for a really raw scratchy distorted sound.

Seconded, I've just got a cheap little behringer um100 that i bought second hand from a pawn shop, but when you've played around with it a bit, it can sound pretty awesome.

Also got a Joyo D-SEED for my birthday, which has a lot of potential for awesome and isn't super expensive new. Those long delays can be really fun to play with.

What time does the pre-party start? I couldn't find anything other than location.

From what I've heard there, I say keep doing what you're doing. Maybe experiment with instruments and tables a little more, get some whazzy effects going to add a little emphasis to certain parts, but if you find less is more in that regard then really that's up to you, just personally I think it would make the songs a little more interesting.

It wasn't private when this thread was made. I was able to watch it before, perhaps it was made private in response to something?

I have exactly the same problem. I've just been chipping away at bits here and there when I can. With music in particular though, I find that when I've had to take a bit of a break, I don't like the ideas I had before anymore.

All my projects are posted up on a cork board next to my bed, so I can remind myself of what needs doing. I've been bad lately though and been adding to the list more quickly than I can tick things off.

Maybe this could call for some sort of appraisals thread/forum section, so that those with less experience of the market could benefit from the advice of other users on how to price their items. I've seen it done on other forums, and though they don't HAVE to follow the advice given, it does perhaps give them a ballpark figure to work with, before deciding whether or not it is worth them selling.

Ooh, you could easily add the SNES, controller and N64 to mine if you haven't sent it already.

Will gladly take Starfox adventures, Goldeneye, Majora's Mask, and Vigilante 8 off your hands. If you could pm me with the cost for postage and a paypal email, it would make me a happy man.

I might just go all the way to Liverpool for this.

Anyone know of anywhere reasonably priced where I could stay the night? I'd like to have a couple of drinks, so I'm getting the train, but trains don't run late enough all the way back up to Norfolk. Ideally I'd like to make the pre-party too. Been looking at local hotels, but most are pretty pricey.
