I've started putting some blank bars at the end of the loop, so that I can imagine what it leads into instead of getting used to it repeating.

Is that the name Marcia went under? I know she did some 8-bit stuff, but haven't heard much of it.

This is exactly what happened with mine when I first got it, and it was just the contacts - inserting a piece of card like you said you tried fixed it for me, although you did say thin paper, rather than card, maybe it's just not lifting enough. Try doubling it up if you're using paper. Also with mine the card wraps further around the back of the cartridge. I don't know if doing that helped at all, but mine does work fine, so maybe it's worth a try. I may post a picture of it tomorrow to show exactly how I mean.

(Do you know of ap0c? Chiptune and tuba/sousaphone) Just curious - what would be in your price range for something like this?

Not particularly, though the name sounds familiar.

Currently, I'm broke so nothing, but when I'm working I'm terrible with money, because I don't care about it and will pay silly for what I want. That said $250 does seem like a little much, but I've seen some crazy prices for pedals in general, so I didn't really think much of it.

It's a touch out of my price range at the moment, but I'd certainly be interested in running my trombone through something like this.

can't go wrong with sennheiser, even some of their sub $80 models are pretty good, flat frequency response & very clear

I've always heard that sennheiser do the best stuff in terms of sound quality, so I bought some wireless ones - RS 120 mk II - and the sound is great, but the ergonomics leave a lot to be desired. Now I have a pretty big head, but on the smallest setting I can get the damn things, they slip off if I tilt my head even a little.

The website link didn't work for me. What licence was your friend's music released under? Has your friend tried flagging the video himself for copyright infringement? As I understand it some companies like youtube will only block things like this if the owner of the licence complains (that could be another company that I'm thinking of though)

Chipmusic is awful. I'm just here for the chicks.

AWESOME!

Adding to the Hype Train.

Did You find anyone else to master it, or were you doing it yourselves? (just curious)

Personally I think that 11 tracks is good enough, however that could totally be motivated by the fact that I've already sent my track in and am selfishly just eager to see the comp released, so that my track is out there. If you feel the need to wait for more submissions, I get it, unfortunately I'm just very impatient.

I've been working on a little something, nearly finished it, but I'm not sure whether or not you'll want it for this. Will send it in as soon as it's done and let you decide.
